Lived in a property that was initially with a private landlord and then became managed by Rooms to Rent. The property was in very poor condition. We had multiple water leaks from the roof which meant part of a bedroom wall was removed for about two months in the winter so I was freezing cold and had water constantly coming into the room. Another leak we had started at the top floor and flooded the rooms on the two floors underneath. We had multiple power cuts and electricity faults, and discovered the washing machine pipe was connected by a shoe lace and blu-tac and was leaking onto the plug sockets. Landlord was initially fairly responsive but took a long time to rectify the water leak in my room, and when Rooms To Rent took over the service plummeted massively and they refused to meet with us or even correspond over email to discuss a payment plan due to arrears we fell into during the covid-19 pandemic. Terrible management company and I'd never stay with them again.
