The Retreat
After seeing pictures and reviews we decided to come here for the sourdough sharing platter. Almost 40 minutes of waiting and receiving something that looked like chips from a distance (if you squinted) we decided that we were just about ready to leave, after catching a small view of what they were going to pass off as a sourdough 'platter' complete with the Mushrooms which we asked not to be on the plate (partner allergic) we politely asked to leave, I think the fact the waitress even waived us from paying for our drinks summed up the all round terrible experience. Genuinely felt bad for the group of ladies who walked in afterwards.Picture of Chips for reference, tasted like they were cooked sometime in August and reheated.

Menu is limited but very nice food. Lovely staff and good value. Would say the bread selection could be improved.

We enjoyed a leisurely lunch at The Retreat today and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious, great value and well-presented. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxing. The decor is lovely too. Can't fault it!

We visited yesterday. We were a group of 10. Food was great . I had superfood salad. It was really good. Service excellent. I would go again, we were well looked after.
