Personal disclaimer, I’m not a fan of Craft Union pubs. Probably the cheapest chain in London outside of Sam Smiths or a Wetherspoons and a daytime home to many as a result. It’s possible this one has never have a woman in it outside of the bar staff. One of the stars in the review is because they played ‘Gypsy’ by Fleetwood Mac.

We went on the 19th of May with my family and I asked if they had a tea + a coke, not only he was impolite but also disrespectful and condescending : « we don’t serve food » I did not ask for food, « do you kno what time it is ? » and ??? If I want a tea I can ask for, If you don’t have tea just say « no sorry ok bye » I finally asked for 2 coke He did not say anything and just left ??? Please hire good employees that respect non drinking people,PS : I’m still waiting for my coke ?Bye and see you never

Comfortable local pub well priced from 2.65 to 4.00 sky sports, friendly staff who will go out of their way, and friendly locals especially if your west ham supporter

Brilliant pub bar staff excellent especially Gerald. Lovely atmosphere good entertainment. But if they want serious wine drinkers, they have to sort the price out as Little Driver and Globe at Hackney at least £1 cheaper and owned by the same company.

Lovely authentic East end pub atmosphere, affordable prices, clean, TVs, good seating, good music, lots of regulars and the workers / owners seem to know everyone, though it's still got a charming and inviting atmosphere.

Lovely locals pub and regulars made me feel welcome when I visited. Very helpful and friendly bar staff especially the wee Irish guy Gerry, what a grafter. Toilets were clean, glasses sparkling and beer nice and chilled. Defo one I will return to.

An authentic, comfortable east end pub with little beer prices and an enthusiastic following. The Albert is a proper local.
