John certainly knows his stuff! Attention to detail and ascertaining what the customer wants are not his only skills.We started with a much loved, but delapidated chest of drawers - not a lot of hope in restoring it, but hopeful we could use it once runners had been replaced.After a discussion and advice from John, we now have a stunning set of drawers, which are not only usable, but a beautiful piece of furniture which will be handed down through the family.A rarity to find a craftsmean these days, who takes pride in what they do, but John is precisely that. I made a new tapestry seat for this chair and we then decided it needed a bit of a face-lift, so we took it to John. He has done a wonderful job of restoring it and fitting the new seat . We are delighted with the finished job.

Excellent, efficient dedicated to providing a superb outcome to our furniture. We thought our family air loom cabinet was unrepairable due to a mishap by the carpet fitters ! its now looks better than new thanks to to John at the rescue.We also had the other furniture polished up like new and theAlso the after care instructions are brilliant. John renovated a retro teak 1960's sideboard for me. His communication was great, keeping me upto date on progress along the way. He took special care to do a good job and I was really pleased with the end result. I would definitely recommend him.

John was commissioned to undertake exteamly delicate repairs to a 17centry Bishop, his right hand was missing also his Crosier which John very professionally re created from timber. John also used 17 century paint technology to touch up the damaged paint work. If you want a fantastic job doing then look no further than John. Thankyou John.

John renovated a 19th century oak desk and a 1940s carved oriental chest for me. He communicated well and did an excellent job restoring both. Would recommend.

John worked wonders with my table and six chairs. The table had been in disrepair for more than a decade. He brought it back to life, fixed multiple chair legs, strengthened every chair and stopped the awful creaking from the table top that had prevented me from using it. His work was professional, skilled and efficient. His prices are incredibly reasonable.John was a pleasure to have in my home. He even left me some steel wool and lots of advise on how I can keep the table looking well myself. If you have a piece of furniture which you love, but has seen better days, I cannot recommend his work highly enough. It felt so good to bring a solid piece of furniture back to life, as opposed to just swapping it for something new! Thank you John.

John has done a fantastic repair on a rather sad Chiffonier, which had both water and heat damage. We are very pleased with the results and it was great that John kept in contact throughout the process. Another repair has just gone into his workshop.
