If you are seeking a mortgage and look for jargon-free advice I cannot recommend a better service than that provided by Rory at Friendly Financial. We were first time buyers and Rory guided us through the process in a friendly and upfront manner. He was always on the end of the phone and no question was too trivial. We have tried to purchase our home a number of times under the Right to buy" scheme but with one thing and another we did not proceed.After contacting the team at Friendly Financial

Went into buying our first home not knowing much about mortgages, rates ect which was an already stressful situation.What started as a relevantly pleasant experience turned sour with this lot. After a house sale fell through I was informed by Conor that we would have to pay another broker fee. They then took the money out of my account before putting our new mortgage offer through and it being accepted.Anyway We were put on a 2 year varible rate morgage at a terrible rate.At this point I decided to do my own homework on what was available in the market. Few hours later I found a significantly better deal than the one that friendly financial was signing us up to.As I mentioned, they charged us twice so I was stuck with them, otherwise I would have not bothered and went elsewhere.Fast forward, We had to wait 5 WEEKS for a formal mortgage offer during a crazy time when rates were sky rocketing. Absolutly Shocking service.After many calls madr to then and no further progress, I had then asked to speak to a manager and within a few hours our mortgage offer was then on the table. As I mentioned before, buying a house is already very stressful and this type of service is completely unacceptable. In the end I found my own mortgage and had to pay them for the pleasure.I would also like to mention, They also seem to push people onto 2 year Varible rate mortgages with little to no explanation of the risks involved. Other rules changed during our time buying our property, again we were not informed of anything.My advice, Do your homework on the risks involved in varible rates, what mortgage rates are currently available ect.Do not expect any favours from friendly financial as we found out the hard way.I would not recommend them at all.Maybe others are better.Terrible service.

Friendly Financial are a top quality company. Their expertise and service are both at the highest standard. As a first time buyer with my partner, they outlined the process from start to finish and saved us a mountain of time and energy. They are also very reasonably priced and great value for money. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them for anyone that is hoping to get a mortgage for a property.

I have had a fantastic experience with Friendly Financial, as a first-time buyer who moved to the UK 3 years ago I had no idea where to even begin.
