I have recently had cataract surgery here and am delighted with the results. The staff were friendly and reassuring. It was a spotless and pleasant environment with plenty of free parking.

My daughter had her cataracts done here and all went well, so when it was my turn and I was given a choice of the hospital or here I went for SpaMedica. if there is one problem with this place is it's location, not easy to get to if you do not have someone to drive you and pick you up after. Both my visits, the first being for assessment and the second for the operation, went well, friendly staff that explain all that's going to happen, the operation also went well and is really not that bad, a lot of eyedrops and then just a case of looking into the light, which is very surreal I have to say, nothing to moan about after just a wet shirt color due to the amount of fluid they use, after that your given your goody bag containing more eyedrops and a few other things and that's it, a very smooth well organised experience, I have had no problems, I am due to go back in a few weeks for a check up and then go through it all again for the other eye.

I requested a referral (nhs) here by my doctor after significant cataracts were diagnosed. After 2 weeks I had my first appointment followed by my first cataract op 2 days later as there was a cancellation. I chose to have the procedure on my other eye at a later date but I could have had it much sooner. All the staff are really professional and kind and I cannot fault the treatment I received with excellent follow up care , check up and efficient telephone centre back up for any queries which are passed to the relevant professional &dealt with speedily. The procedure is pain free and does not involve any injections.

Absolutely first class .having been referred here by my optician in April. I was seen in May for an assessment oppointment I was lucky enough to be offered a cancellation the following day !I was really anxious about having it done .but believe me guys from the moment you arrive you are treated like you are the only person there .every step is explained every consideration is taken .I had a pretty dense cataract & now after having my post op check up have the sight of a pilot. ( not that I'm going to take up flying)I absolutely can't believe what a difference its made these guys are amazing. Thank you so very much .

Both cataracts done. No waiting, early Sept first cata second mid October did not feel a thing. Can recommend them. Caring friendly staff excellent aftercare all done on NHS. Both eyes now excellent vision, only need glasses now for reading. So pleased with SpaMedca's service.
