Good deals, friendly staff

I think this place is a horrible place because I went in today and got two drinks and I payed with my card and apparently it said declined when it didn’t so then I went outside and checked my online bancking and it said I spent money at pound stretchers and they didn’t give me the drinks but they took my money still and int he drinks it said 2 for 2 pound when they charged me more money for it .

I hate to leave a negative review, but.. I've just been in today to buy a fan. When I was getting served, one of the staff members came bounding up to the counter and spoke over me like I wasn't there. Shouting to the girl who served me someone is wearing the worst aftershave ever and he stinks". Actually it was patchouli oil on my denim jacket. Since when is it OK to insult customers. I am fuming. Wouldn't shop there again if I didn't need to!!"

It is what it is, it a shop that provides cheap and cheerful products at a reasonable price.It isn't the sort of shop you going for your weekly shop, but you can grab a few items per visit that you know won't last but will serve there purpose.

If you need house hold items then this is the place to go! Reasonably priced for a local store and some of the stuff is rubbish when you get home and use it but it doesn't stop you from returning and spending more money! There was a time where I broke my washing up bowl and used this as a first point of call... sadly they didn't have any in and I had to travel further to asda to get one. The thing that makes this store I think are the staff! They seem to all bounce off each other and take the time to speak to you when you are in. They always make the effort to interact with my 2 year old little boy as well. Ace! I've rated 4 stars not 5 because as mentioned some stuff you buy is just tat and secondly because the store didn't have washing up bowls in when I needed one.

Nice little shop with plenty of variety. Budget prices will help stretch your pound a long way. Staff are friendly and helpful. If there is a criticism, then its the inconsistency of some lines which can suddenly be discontinued. However the good news is these lines are usually replaced with something similar or better. Still a great place for finding something different than in your regular supermarkets. You still end up picking something up because it will appeal to you.

Plenty of bargains to be had, along with cheap treats, stationary and household stuff!

I'm not interested anymore. They don't have what they mostly use to have in the stock

hit and miss on the actually pound side of bargains but still some good bargains to be found also not too busy

Hmmmm the word poundstrecher has seaced to exist.Inflated(ridiculously inflated)prices.to reduce for the massive??????50% off1 example £1.30 for a 330ml can of lucozade orange so reduced to 69p.Buyer beware .I understand marketing but absolutely crazy prices£1.69 for a tin of heinz chicken soup??????????Will never go in the stores again.
