I am extremely happy with the service received from BMW Sytner. A week before travelling to Spain my car went crazy. All possible errors popped up on the dashboard and engine management light would stay on. I tried to get my car booked in with my local BMW garage in Enfield, where they didn’t even try to look at the car before my departure date. However Sytner Chigwell got the car booked in the following day, although there were no spaces available and it was fixed the day after.I am extremely grateful and happy how everything was handled. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

I want to extend my appreciation for the outstanding service I received from Marcel Rogers. Marcel was great throughout the process of acquiring my new BMW, starting from our initial meeting to the moment we picked up the car. He consistently kept me updated through both email and calls. Even when the car was delayed, Marcel promptly called me to provide updates and effortlessly managed the entire process. I highly recommend Marcel and BMW Chigwell for their outstanding service.

Took a mini for a test drive & loved the car. Noticed steering issues and were told by the salesman that they would be fixed, as well as a couple of touch ups. A week later, as arranged, we to go purchase & collect the car. The car was waiting with a fab giant bow on it but this is where we made a mistake in trusting them. We did not take it for another test drive, to check steering issue had been fixed before paying up. Drove the car home, horrible journey due to steering but put it down to nerves in a new car.Test drove the car locally a few times on new roads & the best way I can describe it was the steering was too lively and didn't really self centre properly, meaning to keep it straight took lots and lots of minor corrections. On fast roads, this was awful, just the tiniest of nudge of the steering sent it heavily in that direction - it didn't matter if left or right. I informed them of the issue 2 days after taking the car.I took it for tracking & check tyre pressure, both wrong.. This didn't help. Took to a trusted garage, who had a quick look & a drive. Said couldn't see what was wrong but that modern cars leave them 'locked out'. They did however agree the steering was awful & possibly dangerous at high speed/icy/wet weather.I got in touch with Sytner Chigwell again, they kindly took the car back & admitted the steering was wrong. An alignment took place (but for a 3 door, not a 5 door), brought it back without any improvement. Had a few tetchy phone conversations with various managers there, offered to look at a price to buy it back, presume at a financial loss (after having the car for 2 weeks!) & they suggested to have a technician come over and test drive the car with me. Technician also agreed that the cars steering wasn't right which really gave me some hope of resolving the issue finally. A couple days later I got a call from another manager, very terse, telling me that they'd done an alignment for a 5 door, that there was nothing wrong with the car, never was. He also informed me that no cars self centre.. urm. That left me laughing in disbelief actually!I asked them not to bring it back as it was, was ignored, and the same technician returned saying there was nothing wrong with the steering, his car drove the same, all cars drive the same. He had actually slightly improved it by adjusting the toe, but it was still far from correct and we were astonished at his change of view over the fault. Sadly my partner shouted at him, which while not needed, I understood his anger & frustration as we'd spent many an hour worried we'd just wasted £15k on a car we couldn't trust to drive and no way afford another.. In fact, the morning the car was returned the 2nd time, I couldn't face it, asking my partner to go deal with it all instead. My partner did apologise.Interestingly, whenever I told them that I'd test driven 3 mini's prior to purchasing, all of them steering correctly, this was ignored. Further to their views on all being the same, 2 days later at another mini dealer I drove 2 more 5 door mini's, same spec & age and both of those drove correctly. This, in my mind, was proof that I was being fobbed off and fibbed to 100%. They admitted a fault twice, then denied it when couldn't find the cause of the problem. The fact they couldn't find what was wrong does not prove there wasn't a problem at all. I have since read other accounts this is happening with random mini's up and down the country, so I suspect a known issue by mini.No real help left me having to write to the CEO of the Sytner group. He, give him credit, wrote to me late at night and promised that I would receive contact next day to resolve this. I did in the afternoon receive an email, again admitting no fault, but an offer to collect the car for a full refund. It was a frustrating & disappointing experience dealing with this company. What should've been an exciting time has left me with a complete distrust of approved dealers & mini. People we pay above value for the car to ensure none of this nonsense takes place.....

Bought my i4 M50 from this dealership and was very happy with the experience from start to finish.I saw the car online with BMW's Approved Used scheme and enquired about it, and was promptly sent a video about the car from Kris at the dealership. After seeing the video and being impressed with the car I let him know I was interested, and arranged to come and test drive the vehicle with the view of potentially purchasing the car. As I live over 100 miles away and had no annual leave remaining for this year I also explained the situation to Kris and he gave me a suggestion on the best way to secure the vehicle until my test drive and was very understanding about the long journey involved to go down there and the desire to not want to travel down if there was a risk that the car might not be available when I got there. When it came to the test drive and seeing the car the whole experience was really relaxed. Although I got stuck in traffic on the M1 and arrived after my initial appointment time, Kris gave me the keys to the car and told me to check it over to make sure I was happy, then had everything sorted to take it out for a test drive without leaving me waiting around. After the test drive I was very happy with the car and wanted to buy it, and the whole experience from here on was also stress-free and easy. There were a few very minor things on the car I wanted sorting before collection, and these were all sorted prior to handover and I was kept informed of the progress by Kris.As I would struggle to find time to collect the vehicle myself due to my lack of annual leave the dealership was very helpful and arranged to have the car delivered to my door on the back of a transporter within the next week for a very reasonable price. This was one of my first car purchases where a majority of the buying process took place over a distance/remotely and the dealership, and Kris in particular, dealt with this very well and made me feel comfortable and reassured from my initial enquiry to my final purchase and handover. This is also my second vehicle purchased from a Sytner BMW dealership and the experience both times were pleasant, but I was really impressed by Kris and Sytner Chigwell's service and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is considering an Approved Used BMW.

I am very pleased with my recent experience at BMW Sytner Chigwell. My car required some repairs and was dealt with by Craig McDonald in the service department. Craig was exceptional in his customer care, excellent communication and generally a pleasure to deal with. He is a credit to BMW. Following my experience, I would highly recommended this BMW centre.

I booked my car in for a service. I received a call to tell the me the car was ready for collection and everything was fine. The car was collected and driven less than 10 miles from Loughton to home when the engine exploded and the car lost all power and brakes. The journey home was along the M11 and had this happened on the M11 the results would have been catastrophic but fortunately it happened on a main road away from the motorway. Upon speaking to Sytner the vehicle was collected and I was told that the warranty would not cover the repair because there was no service history. I provided them the evidence of a service which was ignored by them and my vehicle was returned to me in pieces strewn across the interior of it with the gearbox left in the boot of the car. All the nuts, bolts and screws were left under the bonnet on the shelf like a jigsaw puzzle. Richard Rock of BMW Loughton stated this was best practice to return the vehicle in this condition and this is the same person who found it amusing when I stated that I could have died had this happened on the motorway and sniggered with his colleagues. I have spoken to a few other BMW dealers who have all stated that it was disgusting that the car was sent back in this condition. If you are thinking about having your vehicle serviced by them I’d think twice and find another dealer. I’ve attached pictures of the car the way it was left after I was told it could be collected. I would expect this level of service from a backstreet cowboy garage but not from a main dealer like BMW.

I would like to briefly share with you my experience regarding purchasing a vehicle on 09/02/2022. Keep this in mind if you decide to buy any used vehicle from here.We chose a used vehicle on 05/02/2022 and decided to buy it from here via part exchange. We also used some finance. We went and took delivery of the vehicle on 09/02/2022. When we received it, our vehicle was delivered with the exterior washed and the interior roughly vacuumed. (I still keep the photos and videos taken that day). With a letter from BMW finance on 12/02/2022, I noticed some strangeness in the figures. When I started researching and as a result of our discussions with the company, I realized the following:1- £549 GAP Insurance was charged to me twice.2- I paid £474 for the Auto Glym application, but such an application was not applied to the vehicle. I didn't even know I was paying a fee for such a transaction. It was written in between.3- For the vehicle with a sales price of £22000, an invoice of £24474 was issued and it was shown that I paid £1750 in cash. Nothing like this actually happened. They could not explain to me for what purpose such a thing was done. Conclusion:Do not sign any documents on an iPad. Because it does not give you the opportunity to read and examine pages of text. This is exactly what happened to me. Make sure that every document you need to sign is printed on paper and that you are given the necessary time (2-3 hours if necessary) to read it and request corrections if there is a mistake. When you first see the vehicle (immediately after paying the deposit), examine every part of it carefully with the seller and record video during this time. When you come to pick up, you have the chance to check and prove whether the transactions you paid for have been completed.Make sure that your invoice is created with you and signed by you with your wet signature. Never agree to sign with a tablet, iPad or electronic device!Ask in advance for a detailed statement of the payment you will make and the financing, if any, to be used. Never believe that it will be emailed to you later or sent to your home by post! Please remember that sweet words fade away, but the writings and signatures on the documents remain. They still must return me £474 that they charged me for nothing!
