The George Lambourn
This is a lovely pub in Lambourn. The lady behind the bar was friendly and served us quickly. There is a wide range of food and drinks, including flavoured spirits and beer on draught. The cod burger was fab and I would definitely have again.Would recommend a visit to all and I will go back when in the area.

Ankles pub but no Arkles ales on sale. Even the hand pumps have been removed.Appesred to be a good venue for younger folk and people in the horse racing stables employment. Much talk about race horses.

We stopped off in the area for a walk which was lovely. We each had a Veggie burger which was slightly disappointing. It mostly consisted of potato, peas and carrots which is maybe a bit dated for veggie burgers now. Not a lot of other choice for us on the menu. Also dogs only allowed in a small section of the bar which had the TV in and was the busiest part of the pub so we sat outside. Luckily the weather was nice that day.

Had a lovely meal here. Came early, so I had a drink first. There's a fabulous menu with lots of options, especially for vegetarians. The staff are very friendly and the pub feels very homely. The meals are delicious and a really good size, especially for the price. There's covered outside areas, one having a t.v in it. Definitely recommend a visit here!

The George did the buffet for my FIL funeral, and today we stopped in with MIL after visiting the grave for Sunday lunch, very impressed, excellent food, HUGE portions, hubby had beef that was lean and perfectly cooked, we had lamb that was very nice! Highly recommended for food and because staff are so friendly and happy! 12/10! Only gutted we did not have room for a pudding after lunch!

We had our Dad's wake at The George and we couldn't have asked for more. The whole process of booking and sorting out the buffet was done with care. We would recommend the George 100%. Thank you all so much.

Good selection of beers and a good place to drink. We had a meal here recently and we were not entirely happy with it. The seafood lanquini was gloopy and the sparse seafood was well overcooked . Other mains were good. The meringue mess we ordered for dessert was awful, just cream and strawberry syrup, no fresh strawberries or meringue, so it got sent back. Overall we thought the food to be overpriced.
