Cottage is in the most beautiful location and is so peaceful. A sauna and a hot tub that are fantastic. You truly are away from it all in this location. Quality of linens, towels and all utensils is of the highest quality. It is a great base to explore the island then escape the crowdsWe loved our stay here, a cottage we will return too in the future

Have just returned home after a fantastic holiday in Orkney. Stayed in this lovely cottage with ever changing views of the sea.The cottage had everything and more than you need to make your stay comfortable.Susan and Mark did a great job of making sure our holiday was one to remember.I would highly recommend this property. Absolutely outstanding! The pictures online just do not do this justice! We have just enjoyed one of the most amazing weeks holiday in Grukalty which made us fall in love with Orkney and the cottage itself. The hosts Susan and Mark provided great service from start to finish and made us feel so very welcome! They have thought of every possible eventuality and catered for it! Hot tub, sauna, stunning views the list goes on! Literally the only thing you need to do is fill the fridge, sit back and relax! You won't be disappointed.

Grukaltyis the best self catering accommodation in Northern Scotland we've found so faris very well equipped with modern but comfortable furniture that makes is easy to relaxprovides a stunning view to the coast as well as to the Island of Birsayis the first accommodation we had in Northern Scotland without chilly experiences in the bathroom (thanks to the well working underfloor heating)is perfectly locatedto visit the most important neolithic excavation sites like Brough of Birsay, Skara Brae, Brough of Gurness, Maes Howe, Ring of Brodgar - they are all within a distance of max 20 minutes drivehas a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare your own foodBut the best is:Grukalty is like a Spa because of it's own private sauna and outdoor hot tub.There is nothing better than this after a day strolling around the cliffs and the nearby archeological sites … except a good dram of 18 years old Highland Park whisky.

My favourite ever holiday accommodation and we've been three times spending a month here in total.Everything is so clean and modern, the view is always outstanding looking out towards the cliffs with some incredible sunsets.The service from the owners is supportive and spot-on.The hot tub is definitely a highlight of the experience and you can always rely on it running whenever you need it (including checks done by the owners while you're in the accommodation, with your permission of course)The sauna is a really nice touch and all of the beds and bedrooms are comfortable.The property is also really well heated and temperature control is on point.Overall an outstanding place.

We had a superb stay, lovely hosts and we are already planning to come back. It is a gorgeous place in a stunning location and everything has been thought of. We were sad to go home!
