Cruttenden & Son

I have use Cruttenden & son for over ten year have brought my engagement and wedding rings and some birthday presents. I have always found the staff friendly, helpful and go the extra mile.

Absolutely shocking workmanship on my cracked sceen on my watch.

I have used Cruttendens to buy gifts for people and have rings resized for years. In my opinion, they do an absolutely beautiful job resizing rings. Cruttendens resized a ring that was left to me by my grandmother and my wedding ring, which another jeweller said they wouldn't attempt to resize as there were diamonds in it. I was devestated and thought I would never be able to wear my wedding ring again. However, Cruttendens did feel they could resize the ring for me and they did a wonderful job with it. I cannot understand the negative reviews given and can honestly say that I rate this jewellers highly.

My wife has just purchased a watch costing £120 but then decided she wanted to return it and get a refund only to be told that Cruttendens dont give refunds.You either have to choose another item of the same value or more or be given a voucher for the cost of the watch to be spent in their shop so they dont loose.I have never seen a shop that will not give a refund providing the item undamaged and not been used.She asked for the refund less than a hour after paying for it.I think this is poor customer service and neither me or my wife will be taking our custom to Cruttendens again.I wouldlike to know what Cruttendens have to say.

My friend bought it here. Returns were not accepted for something which was bought on the same day. VAT receipt wasn’t provided either.

We took a watch in for repair. Quoted £275 and a turnaround or two to three weeks.The weeks went by and there was no contact from them.After about four weeks we visited the shop and we were told sorry not ready but don't worry we will call when it is".Two weeks later I called for an update and was told there was a problem with getting the part but don't worry we will call you.I did say at this point that for the money being charged this was poor service and suggested a good will gesture was in order. I was told that under no circumstances would we do that.After just short or nine weeks and still no phone call from the shop at any point we called them again. Told the watch was ready to be collected. Watch collected with no apology for either the delay or lack of communication.Conclusion.......1. Extremely shoddy service.2. Do waste your hard earned cash in what must be the worst shop in town for customer service.3. There are much better jewelers in town clearly."

Please stay clear of this shop. Not good . Not good at all .
