Whilst living on Ecclesall Road this was my go to place to walk my Dog. The views here are stunning and the whole place is just a total scene, with every angle looking more than suitable to photograph for use as a postcard. This place alone is worth a visit to the area in my opinion.

Tucked away between Ecclesall and Sharrowvale Road, this cemetery feels hidden in plain sight. With only the bird song and chatter of Porter Brook, you are no longer in the city.Even in the relentless sleet, the cemetery is dark, wild, but with an atmosphere of tranquillity, as if the whole cemetery is holding its breath. The Frog Lane entrance, a grand Victorian gate house is built over Porter Brook and leads through to the paths through the cemetery. Ornate gravestones and monuments rear from the undergrowth like rising mountains. There are many historic landmarks in the site, and several famous names in Sheffield's history if you know where to look.If you need an escape from the city, this is it.

Early Victorian General Cemetery featuring the memorial to the chartist martyr Samuel Holberry. Atmospheric, popular with dog walkers. Muddy.

Very interesting, lots to see and can drop into the office for information. It's being done up but lots to see and would be a good place for drawing etc if you are artistic as some of the monuments are fascinating and huge and still covered in undergrowth. Look for interesting gargoyles and features on the chapels as well. Also a park area and woodland.
