We have been working with Alice in recent months to help our Romanian rescue settle and become less reactive. The results have been far better than we could possibly have hoped for, and certainly did not expect. Alice has an intuitive connection with dogs and helped us understand him so much better and also how we could help him face his new world. We have been able to give him confidence and anticipate challenges, and her advice with regard to diet has been a game changer. We hope to start classes with Alice soon to continue the great progress we have made to date. We are so grateful to Canine Hearts and Minds.

If you are looking for a dog trainer Alice is the best! She helped us better understand our little cockapoo and how nervous she is. After just one session she was like a different dog. Meg (our dog) is so much happier in herself and a lot less nervous. Since the training she hasn’t been growling or backing herself into a corner and is getting a lot better with resource guarding.

Alice has been working with us over the past couple of months in relation to our lurcher's reactiveness when out on walks, settle mat training and recall. Alice has a wonderful rapport with dogs and our boy absolutely loves her, which helps when she is demonstrating the training techniques that we need to adopt. She is patient and encouraging and is always available between sessions to offer further guidance and support if required. Our dog engages really well with the techniques Alice uses and we now feel much more confident on his walks after just a few sessions. We would highly recommend Alice to support with any training and behaviour needs.

Alice came to help us with our anxious Cocker Spaniel cross, Fiddle. Her gentle approach really helped Fiddle to feel more at ease around our 3 young children and to cope better with the day to day stresses of living in a busy family home. Alice was fantastic at involving the children in Fiddle's training (when appropriate) and helping them to understand how to read Fiddles stress signals, so that they could give her space when she needed it. Thank you so much Alice for helping our family live together more harmoniously.

Cannot recommend Canine Hearts and Minds enough, Alice is my dogs favourite person and he’s always so excited to see her or even hear her voice. He started attending the group sessions at 8 months old and he’s come so far, every session he learns more skills and for such a large (and full of hunter instinct) dog he’s learnt to keep his attention on me rather than things surrounding him. He’s not just learnt basic commands but how to be a joy of a dog to own! Alice makes even group classes personal to the dogs and owners and is always on hand for advice on everything dog related!
