It is a privately owned property and garden. Half of the manor is open to the public and the whole garden. It is lovely to walk around in the gardens, it is nicely maintained. Parking is allocated to visitors, also a tea room is on site.

We went to the crafts fair and house and gardens. A superb Arts and Crafts house with an exquisite garden, beautifully designed. Cotswold stone tiled summer houses, carved wood interiors and each room a delight. Well worth the visit and great to see hand crafts still highly valued at the fair.

Beautiful gardens, so well looked after. The house is lovely, as is the little private church. Well worth a visit. The little cafe is great and they have gluten free cake.

Wonderful building with stunning workmanship in the architecture, the furniture and the decor. On a gorgeous day in the middle of August, it was very busy and the tea room had run out of cakes. We didn't have time to see the gardens so we'll be making a return visit and heading to the tea room first!

Amazing house. It looks medieval, but was built during the Arts & Crafts period, so is in fact only 100 years old.Being Arts & Crafts, of course, the workmanship of both the building and the furniture is top-notch.We visited in August to celebrate my birthday, and the house is only open on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons between 2-5.The house is still lived in by the owners, who very kindly vacate a lot of the house so the public can visit. There are some rooms you can't view, most likely because the owners are living in them, and unfortunately the kitchen is one of them. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, though, like the house, part of the gardens are unavailable as they are private. There is a very nice café selling drinks and cakes etc. You won't be able to get hot meals here. Nearby are some good, clean WCs for ladies, gents and 'less abled' people, to use an awful PC phrase.I have a blue badge, so parked in the disabled spaces next to the house - there is probably enough room for 4-6 vehicles. This is a small, gravelled area, so I don't know how well someone in a wheelchair will manage, but it's only small. I use a walking stick. Those in wheelchairs should be able to manage the gardens - although the stone slabs do have small lines of gravel between them - and the ground floor. Able-bodied people and those with walking sticks should (depending on your ability) be able to see the first floor rooms. There is a comprehensive guide book available for £5.

The staff/volunteers really make this place, they are wonderful.I know it is a working house but more information placards would be great to understand the significance of the items in the property. Lovely cafe.

A fairly unknown gem of a house and gardens in the Cotswolds just outside of Cirencester. We visited on a scorching hot day, the guides were lovely and very knowledgeable. It's only open twice a week I believe, we went on a Saturday and it was remarkably quiet. We even enjoyed tea and cake on the way out... Well worth a visit
