Really well stocked, laid out well. If you're visiting York it's worth the 10 mins out of the city on public transport or taxi. Lots of rare and hard to come by vinyl as well as the latest releases. Will try and visit again one day. Owner really kind and directed us to the best bus stop to use to get back. :)

Great selection of vinyl with fair prices. Very friendly staff and a chair outside for other halves to to use whilst waiting for browsing to take place! Some very nice rarities on sale too.

Owner very friendly, apologetic (as website very out of date), and he was helpful. Younger staff member rude, unhelpful and sarcastic when I asked a question. Was buying 3 albums but younger cashier told me the price was wrong and tried to charge more! I bought one as been looking for ages left the others as not being mugged. Tons of records but not easy to browse as tightly packed and many side on or on high shelves. I will not be back.

Unbelievable experience the record has a price and then when you ask to buy it the guy then goes on Discogs and states the price has just gone up £20. Then has a chat with what seems to be his dad and the price goes up again!!Never seen anything like it!Friend recently tried to buy a record for £100 and same thing happened guy said it’s now £125 after checking Discogs when friend refused was told he could do it for £100 if it was cash!Place is a joke

This visit was for Record Store Day (2021), so as expected, long queues before the store opened. The queue was shortened quickly as the staff were well organised in managing the customers and sales.Another successful event by Vinyl Eddie.

Stopped off when passing York - 2 minutes off the A64.Shopped manned by Eddie (behind the counter) and his mate. They need a new shop as only a third of their stock is on display.Nice mix of new and used vinyl so was able to look at various options to buy.They were able to direct me to where I would find my targets (The Fall, Wire, Stranglers, Massive Attack, REM, Miles Davis, Wedding P etc) as new and used separated but Indie, New Wave, Punk are separated and I found my purchase (XTC White Music vinyl VG+ VG+ £20) in 80's".Could spend much longer there.Star knocked off as no negotiation on steep(ish) prices when buying more than 1 album

Very good selection at good prices

Went in for a look and to see came out with 2 LP's. Great little shop, excellent collection of stock and great customer service. A little pricier than normal but you're paying for what you get.Some really rare and special treats in here. The 90's vinyl section is outstanding.

Really great record shop on the outskirts of York. Worth making a bespoke trip for. I bought a couple of New Order records I've been on the hunt for for a while and the chap was really helpful and friendly. Perfect kind of store, small but stacked to the rafters with gems.
