Pea Cottage, Near Stamford

We just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at Pea Cottage. Andrew, the host, could not have been more helpful. The treasure hunt and bottles of homemade cider were lovely touches (and thoroughly enjoyed). The cottage is beautiful, a mix of modern and quirky. We especially loved the “door” headboard on the bed and the roll too bath! Fabulous walks on the doorstep, and only a 10 min drive into Stamford. We can’t wait to return.

We loved our stay at Pea Cottage. It’s absolutely beautiful and all the little touches really make this place stand out. It has everything you could possibly need - we loved the log burner and the record player. We also enjoyed the treasure hunt! Andrew and Janet were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much. It was everything we wanted and more!

Another fantastic stay at this wonderful property. The cottage is truly beautiful and is presented to incredibly high standard. It oozes opulence and is the perfect place to come back to after a day exploring. The Prosecco treasure hunt is a lovely fun touch and the bottles of homemade cider Andrew delivered were delicious. If you are looking for somewhere special for a break away then look no further than Pea Cottage.

We had a wonderful time at Pea Cottage. The cottage was gorgeous and exactly as we'd hoped. Andrew was a fantastic host (who makes delicious cider which he sells and gives all proceeds to charity). Would love to go and stay there again.

Pea Cottage is perfection, the beauty and workmanship, and Andrew's service to make the stay a wonderful experience. Very, very easily accessible from the A1, yet so, so quiet and a feeling of being away from everything, yet again so close to the beautiful small city of Stamford that is worth exploring. We took a wonderful walk from Pea Cottage in the countryside, cooked in the well stocked kitchen, ate out on the patio on a cool night, and enjoyed every moment there thoroughly.

We stayed at Pea Cottage for a two night mini break and absolutely loved it. The cottage is decorated perfectly - everything you need for a lovely holiday away. We were lucky enough to be staying during a warm weather week so didn’t use the wood burner this time but can imagine that in the colder months it would add to the charm even more. Communication was perfect - cider was delicious and treasure hunt really made us smile. We walked to Stamford on one of Andrew’s suggested walks and got a taxi back. Can’t fault the cottage. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and hope to revisit soon.

Such a wonderful stay at Pea Cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated and has everything you need. The location is spectacular. It’s a little bit in the middle of nowhere (in terms of walking to pubs etc) but taxis are easy and only costs £12 to get into Stamford, which has some lovely pubs and restaurants. We really appreciated the peace and quiet and surrounding beauty. Andrew is a great host; very professional, helpful and friendly and thought of lots of nice touches like the home made cider and the treasure hunt with a nice little surprise at the end! Just a really lovely break in a stunning, very well managed cottage.

There isn’t a single fault I could find with Pea Cottage. Set in a beautiful location the cottage doesn’t disappoint, immaculately clean and decorated in a lovely manor with lots of interesting quirky pieces around the cottage. It is plenty spacious for 2 people. Everything is catered for with so much thought and attention to detail. A large comfy bed, a fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, a cosy living area and a lovely patio all made for a homely feel with a touch of luxury. Andrew the host was fantastic, a perfect balance of communication and leaving us to get on with it. The little treasure hunt and bottles of homemade cider were a lovely touch. We could have paid a similar amount to stay in a chain hotel but you wouldn’t get anywhere near the level of quality or service. Pea Cottage is located perfectly to visit the local area and surrounding towns, there’s some lovely walks in the local area that are well worth doing.We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will hopefully visit again one day in the future. Me and my partner have just got home from the most wonderful 2 night stay at Pea Cottage. To say Andrew was such an incredible host would be an understatement.The small touches in the cottage to make it so welcome, his lovely homemade cider, and both his walk and pub recommendations were great.We were so sad to leave, but will definitely be back.5* host and I will be passing on his details to friends & family.Pea Cottage was absolutely.Thank you for having us x
