Today I was in The Works and there was a new member of staff who I felt lifted the atmosphere of the shop. He was clearly learning the ropes and needed a little extra guidance but I could tell he was doing his best. I loved how patient and calm the staff training him were especially when he'd forgotten to do something. The staff member gently guided him to what he needed to do without any frustration or annoyance and it was lovely to see someone being trained with such patience, understanding and respect. As a customer, it made me feel that I'd be treated with the same patience, kindness and respect too and that felt very welcoming.

The manager and staff member who were in today need to not gossip about colleagues behind their backs with customers in the shop this is something that the manager should take up with staff in the privacy of his office
