Southwell Racecourse

myself and wife are regular racegoers throught ukwe went southwell for the 6/9/23 meeting for 1st time.this racecourse is really nice,friendly staff and the racegoers were lovely,no loud rowdy groups you find at bigger courses,the facilities are great,plenty seating and nice airy modern hospitality areas.excellent view of the races,parade ring etc,will definetly be going here again,well done to all staff inc security

Dont like the way the upstairs bars/restaurant are now exclusive to members and owner/trainers. Gate tickets that are not cheap for low grade racing feel very much 2nd class

Great atmosphere. Food and drink a bit pricey but you can take a picnic.

I arrived at Southwell racecourse and I'd just had my windscreen wiper blades replaced at a garage. However 260 miles from home the smaller blade came off while I was driving in heavy rain and the larger one looked very wobbly indeed. John in the car park said he would look at them and said both were loose and he fitted them properly in under a minute. What a hero. Please do thank him again.

Poor parking. No dedicated disabled parking area. Requires a designated drop off, pick up and taxi areaSecurity should use some sort of common sense my wife in her 70,s had her bag searched and her blunt nail file confiscated. What did they think she was going to do, grievous bodily nail filling . Come on. Having said this once inside it was great. A little expensive for food and drink. But of a good quality

Really good. The Owners & Trainers food was lovely and it could be taken to the other room where there was more space. Plenty of hot drinks too.

Well, what a con, mis sold a product. On the website it stated that is was £15 entrance fee however was £18 on arrival. If this was an online offer only it should have been stated.The website also advertised a circus which was basically a play mat with hula hoops and spinning plates. The Fun fair was 4 rides that went round in circles, all did the exact same thing and catered for the age group 2-6years max only.For 4 burgers and 3 cans of Pepsi it cost approx £36.All in all cost £91 to watch 2 races, 2 bored children aged 9 and 14 and have a wasted journey.It seems like it was advertised to draw people in on a bank holiday weekend so they can get more money from booze and gambling to subsidise the poor attendances at the race course throughout the year.Lindsey and Tabs

We came to watch our horse run had a lovely meal very clean place and yes its a 2 mile drive down a single track to get to the race course
