We asked Anji to help us after our 5 year old dog, Dillon, zapped himself on an electric fence in the garden and subsequently was scared to go out of the back door and refused entirely to go into the garden. We had tried gentle encouragement ourselves but to no avail. Anji spent about an hour with us at our home. She listened to our story and observed Dillon, picking up far more detail from his body language than we had, explaining to us what she had seen. By the time she left, using only positive treat based methods, and working very slowly and gently (I thought we had been working slowly with Dillon, but Anji explained that we needed to proceed in even smaller increments than we had), she had Dillon happily going a little way into the garden to collect thrown and dropped treats. We were left feeling relieved and positive, with an action plan to follow. It took a number of weeks patient work, following Anji’s advice and taking things at Dillon’s pace without rushing him, and we now have a dog who has forgotten his fear and is happy to wander all around the garden as he had done before. I would thoroughly recommend Anji for any canine training or behavioural issues.

We went to Anji for a 1-1 puppy session before we got our dog, as we were first time owners together. She gave us things to look out for when choosing a breeder and puppy. Beyond this, she really changed our mindset on simple things such as letting her off the lead straight away (in a secure area), what to accept when she started mouthing and how her mind would work with key skills such as socialising, sleeping through the night and toileting. With the information she gave Winnie was toilet trained fairly quickly, within 2 weeks & was sleeping the night through within 3. In addition to this Anji recommended reading ‘The Culture Clash’ which helped us with jumping up and appropriate tricks in the first few months. Without meeting Anji for this invaluable meeting we know that Winnie may have run rings around us as she is a big dog who is very energetic and intelligent. Instead, she is our perfect family dog. We also completed Puppy Training with Anji.We went on to complete the Gold Kennel Club award at 12 months old and passed with flying colours.We can’t thank you enough for the great headstart in dog parenting!

We first use Anji during the 1st lockdown when our springer, Perry was 7 months old. He was a completely different dog to our previous spaniels and there were various behavioural issues starting. We'd tried some other trainers but weren't happy about the methods they used.Anji originally helped us via email and we quickly saw improvements in our boy using modern, positive methods.I have continued train with Anji well into Perry's adulthood. She has been creative in finding ways to tap into Perry's love of using his nose and use this as a reward. This was particularly helpful in stopping his pulling on the lead.I will forever be indebted to Anji for encouraging us not to give up on our boy.
