Blackstone Edge Reservoir
Walked around this reservoir after going to Blackstone Edge trig point and back. It's a nice looking reservoir which has decent paths around three sides of it. The other side is grassy moorland and isn't the easiest to walk across, with no direct path and muddy in places. It's a shame it hasn't got a proper path all the way around.

Some lovely flat walking around these reservoirs. It's possible to 8 or 9 miles without any severe inclines.Great views over Rochdale, Oldham and Manchester

Nice for a walk grit stone escarpment that makes up the old Pennine way trail, with easy access to parking at the White House public house.
