Something Party

I have used this shop before without issue so I naturally returned for my party needs. I needed a specific type of balloon I had found online for a party which the shop didnt have in stock. I was told if only I had called them the day before they could have ordered it in. I explained I had been ill with covid and was recovering from the after effects so a little delayed with getting organised for the party. The staff member suggested I reschedule my party for a different date !! No chance. My solution was to order them off Amazon and have them inflated by the shop. I was shocked at the price of filling them at £5 per balloon. The staff member explained that the price of hellium had gone up. Also that this wouldnt include ribbon which i would need to provide myself. I asked if I could come in on the sat morning of the party to be told no as it was coronation saturday so they might not be open (she seemed unsure). I said I would come in friday then but was told I could not just turn up. that I needed to book. OK so can I book then to come in on the friday - no I was told. You firstly need to order the balloons, then when they arrive bring them in to be checked and only then can you book to have them filled. The overall approach was a tad shirty and a bit off. So many barriers were put in the way of me using this shop that I went elsewhere and I am so glad I did. It was a much better experience. I went to Card Factory who I called in advance. I didn't have to book with them and nor did they need to inspect the balloons first. I just went in and they filled them politely and without fuss at a much cheaper cost than Something Party. Im not sure I will return to Something Party in future as the staff attitude was quite offputting. Gaining party balloons should be a fun experience not an endurance exercise.

Something Party went above and beyond for me with balloons and decorations for a recent party. I had purchased some balloons online and asked whether they could be filled.The staff advised that the balloons I had weren’t suitable as they weren’t certified however they offered alternatives. I love that they think of everyone's safety and don’t just inflate anything!The alternatives that were offered were amazing and after 4 weeks the balloons are still going strong.Will be recommending you to everyone for future parties and events

Fantastic party shop that met everything we needed for our big bash. Balloons, banners, delivery and even made some signage we needed. Great service and very professional.

Kirsty did my 30th birthday balloons are they were amazing! I'm a bit of a diva, so this was a small scale wedding lol... I've spoken to so many contractors including caterers, balloons, florists, entertainment, etc. And Kirsty was honestly the best by far! From the first email, she made me feel so comfortable and confident, we chatted on the phone for a while and she spent time arranging and curling at the venue too. Honestly one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had, and the balloons looked amazing too! I had 100 balloons to fill the ceiling, and they lasted all day and the next day (we took them down, but there was no deflation at all after over 24 hours). Thank you Kirsty! XEdit to add: I've just read another review about a member of staff huffing at the finish time, and I'd like to add that Kirsty so sweetly said to me when she pulled up to deliver that it was her day off but she wanted to personally deliver my balloons as we'd had such a nice chat on the phone - if that isn't above and beyond then I don't know what is!!

Always a brilliant service at something party. visited last minute for my daughters birthday balloons - & nothing was too much trouble. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Their balloon displays are amazing
