Some years ago I gave Kingfisher a poor review for bland soggy food, but not today, we had two ‘special’ fish with chips mushy peas and a curry sauce. Everything was spot on, the chips were well cooked, the large fish and batter were perfection and the portions were generous, a really great traditional fish & chips meal. Cost? £25.50, but thats just today’s price everywhere, no point moaning they used to be five bob back in the day, its just the way it is.Unreservedly recommended!

Bought the lite bite lunch today £6.20. It was definitely light bite think I had to bites of fish the rest batter. Would normally not comment but this the second time now the fish has been just full of batter and fried too long. What a Shame normally a good fish shop!

Very nice. It was not cheap, but overall, it was top class. Had a special fish and chips. The curry sauce is the best I've had.

This fish restaurant is next door to a fish and chip shop. There is always a long queue for the takeaway.The restaurant too is always busy. Best to reserve if you are a large party. The fish is fresh and served with bread and butter, chips, and tea/coffee/ soft drinks are included in the price of your choice of fish. There is an OAP meal served throughout the day. Portions are large. Desserts are delicious. Alcoholic drinks are available..

Read the poor reviews - thought it couldn’t be possible to make fish and chips that bad and to be as busy as they seem to be.Wrong.Insipid chips and the less said about the fish the better. See for yourself. Chewy, overcooked and have no idea what had happened to this one but parts of it were missing??!Best part of £25 for 3 fish, 2 chips and a bottle of pop. Will not be going back.

Really good food, everything you would expect from them but just done really well. Good servings and reasonable prices. Sometimes a little busy and can be difficult to park. I'd recommend the restaurant too.
