Dropped in after a walk and had a lovely baguette each (prawn/avocado and gammon ham respectively), both with salad and home-made coleslaw. Comfortable bar/dining room.

Very old public house with restaurant, loads of outdoor seating, green space for the kids. Some outdoor seating is in a tented area. Free car park with security barrier a token from the bar is needed to exit. Excellent menu and prices with friendly staff and owners, they make you feel welcome, well worth a visit

Food and drink overpriced. Food is typical bland pub churn rubbish, no justification for the price. Exceptionally rude staff and landlady in particular, not just a one off as friends have all said the same, on seperate occasions. Unfortunately because they have the monopoly of the village, people continue to use it. Avoid, and save your money for people who deserve it.

Unfortunately having to rate this place low. I can’t actually quite believe I paid for our meal to be honest. My husbands chicken was really dry and inedible sadly. I had a curry but with every bite I had to spit out a big lemon pip or something really chewy not sure what it was but couldn’t bite into it. Curry was advertised as mild but I thought it was a bit too spicy and I like spice. You can taste all food came out of a packet which is disappointing, the chips were nice but that’s the only positive thing I could say about this place. The atmosphere is dull and apart from the two young girls who was serving tables you couldn’t get a smile out of the management/other staff. We also thought £60 was quite expensive for one starter two mains and a kids meal and only one alcoholic drink. It’s a shame because we picked here cos of good reviews but just didn’t get the same experience sadly.

We were very impressed by our recent visit to The Woolpack.Although we only had a couple of drinks, we did see some of the food being brought out and it looked very appetising. Therefore, we planned to come back another time (hopefully soon) to try it.The pub inside looked good enough, but we decided to sit in the beer garden as it was a sunny afternoon. The garden was very pleasant, it was well looked after with plenty of good quality seating and tables, a really good variety of flowers and plants and it had a good relaxing atmosphere.Definitely recommended.

It's a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I've been here and it's been perfect. Most recently the locals at the bar were more important and wouldn't even leave space to get past to the toilet. You can feel like an inconvenience.
