I loved my experience with this company and I highly reccomend. John was a great instructor and was very patient with me when I got anxious about driving. He had great techniques and ways how to improve your driving and I would have continued with him if I hadn't moved out of Hull.

Pick, stick, stay or go the wrong way!Absolutely phenomenal! John has a very holistic approach to training.He also doesn’t just teach you how to drive for the test, but teaches you to assess your own driving to keep yourself and your passengers safe after the test.He can also seem strict at times and will tell you when you’re not ready for the test. But from experience, after changing my first practical test time and then passing the test at a later date, I can see the huge difference from where I was in the beginning when I THOUGHT I may be able to do it, compared to when I actually passed.In the end, the difference between John and other driving instructors is that John teaches you how to drive and self-assess and most other instructors seem to instruct you how to pass your test.Roads would be much much safer if all instructors were like John!

I really enjoyed my lessons with John and definitely would have continued if I hadn't moved out of Hull. He is a great instructor and has a very good approach to driving. Once you have the basics down, the lessons are very adaptive, and he lets you have a lot of influence in what direction the lesson goes in as well as how much/what kind of input you want from him. He is a very supportive instructor and lets you learn at your own pace.

John is an incredible instructor and an excellent person. His knowledge is second to none and he has helped me through high anxiety to pass my test first time. I am extremely thankful and grateful in knowing that I can move forward and drive with confidence. Thanks again john

I went with John after years of putting off some refresher lessons having passed my test years ago, but due to some bad experiences with other instructors as well as whilst out on the road, never quite got round to it.From the get go John was incredibly patient and for a nervous driver like myself kept me at ease on a weekly basis. You don’t just learn how to drive to an exceptional standard with John but I’ve found many of his words of wisdom to bear fruit in every day life as well.I can’t recommend John highly enough and despite it taking a while for a slow learner like myself, I never felt pressured and found Johns ability to work to my personal capabilities whilst also pushing me to improve week on week to be of the highest quality.Easily the best instructor in the Hull area I’ve used and will be recommending him to anyone that is looking for an outstanding driving instructor as well as an overall top bloke!

I give my full endorsement to John and Lead The Way.I'm someone who was in their thirties with zero driving experience and zero confidence in driving; it was something I had put off until later in life. John's method of teaching was fantastic; rather than telling you how to drive in a rigid manner (only do X in Y, etc), John's teaching was dynamic to my driving ability and the way I learn, always reseptive to my concerns and willing to change any aspect of teaching to suit my needs.There was never an interaction or lesson where I felt belittled or not taken seriously. I was always respected; be that making time for lessons that fit around my work schedule, or answering my questions out of hours.I passed my test not by a fluke, but by my own ability that John helped me to develop. It's very fulfilling to take a skill I have zero proficiency in and bring it up a confident level.I can not recommend John enough; if you want to learn to drive safely and with confidence, you'll find no better person.
