We waited 25min for coffee and cake. The coffee was good but the cake was dry and at £4.25 per slice definitely not worth it

Stood around at the wait bere to be seated" for a few minutes. Wasn't acknowledged I existed despite a member of staff looking at me and walking passed. I thought Ihadbecome invisable and left. Most areas closed off by 4.30."

Lovely cafe, with an area for children with access to an outdoor play area. Nice menu with table service. Lots of individual areas so great for meeting as a group. Dog friendly too.

Firstly, they don't take bookings for the weekend but the website let's you make one. Their IT department needs to get on this to keep up with other better businesses. When we arrived, after queuing for a table. We ordered food including fish goujons on the child's menu. Our hot drinks arrived long before the meal. When the meals arrived the goujons ? were a single piece of fish in batter. We bought this to the attention of the waitress who took it away, broke it into 2 pieces and came back with it asking if this was alright. We said no it's just a bit of fish fried in one bit then broken into 2. Eventually, after we had eaten most of our hot meals the kids meal came back with what looked like the same 2 bits of fish and a couple more. We accepted this and shortly after needed to call a,waitress to clear the dirty dishes from the table and inform them we wanted to order desserts. She read the desserts from her ipad and we chose, although the choice did not actually include any traditional desserts like sticky toffee pud or apple pie for example, it was basically just cakes that you might have with a cuppa, my partner had lemon sponge which was very dry, i had a mince pie, the case of which was overcooked. I am disappointed to say the least as I have had many good meals there before the recent change. As it stands I do not recommend this place for a meal, possibly afternoon tea might be ok.

The signature sandwiches are over priced - they advertise they are made with sour dough bread - mine was certainly not, it was white cotton wool, toasted! The mushroom and hummus filling were very sparse. I reported it but the restaurant manager insists they use sour dough bread!

Some cafe staff attitudes are awful. Please remember that a smile and courtesy will cost you nothing. Usually a very pleasant experience. Not today.

The Garden Cafe
Welcomed within 2 minutes and escorted to our table, given menus and within 5 minutes our order was noted. 5 minutes later it was presented to us followed 2 minutes later by our tea and coffee. The meal was plentiful and tasty, the beverages excellent. Our bill was presented as soon as we asked and all in all the experience was very pleasant, enhanced by the friendly attitude of the staff.

Went to The Garden Cafe at Glendoick last Friday, meet up with some friends, have some tasty snacks and let the wee ones play. Always been lovely and never had an issue before. Was pretty gutted that the soft play was shut until later for a deep clean but had it explained they do this twice a week, in line with regulations so all good. So why in the world did my 1 year old look like she had crawled through a garden in her white tights after just over an hour in the small baby area? Another one of my wee one's white socks were also disgusting, as were a couple of the other children's. I get that soft play is often sticky and frankly a bit gross, but i find it appalling that this was immediately after a deep clean, that happens twice a week. The child was in the baby area and not in the main area or even crawling about the floor. Both her feet and her legs in her white tights were so dirty. I spoke to the manager who was very dismissive of me and have subsequently had my email complaint ignored.Definitely cannot recommend the restaurant to anyone now.
