I recently bought my first pair of snowboard boots and the service was excellent. Loads of advice and time spent getting the best boots for me. No pressure to spend more or buy specific brands.Every time I go snowboarding at Chillfactore I always pop into Subvert even just to browse the new stock.All the staff happy to give advice on any aspect of snowboarding gear or technique, even if I'm not spending any money.Highly recommend this place!

The best! We’ve been using them as our one stop shop for almost the past 10 years online or instore when we’re passing heading up. Mega helpful instore, over email or socials. Couldn’t ask for more from an awesome independent store. We’ve been through a few board, bindings and boots as well and numerous bits of clothing and kit. Always look forward to a visit.

Absolutely brilliant customer service - highly recommended for anyone looking at getting into Snowboarding.The team are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about snowboarding and were able to quickly resolve issues I was having with the fit of my boots.

Best boardstore around! Great gear, great people, great place. I bought a full set up last year but a broken leg delayed me really getting into it. Started again recently and was experiencing some really bad foot pain. The guys are really knowledgable, they widened my boots, adjusted my set up etc free of charge and really took care of me. Best customer service going especially Vicky she’s a star! Get down to subvert my people.

Wow! What an experience. I am an old school snowboarder, and was looking for new/updated gear, as my old stuff was well past its sell by date! Met the manager who pointed me in the right direction, after he asked a few questions. He had a very professional and knowledgeable manner, I felt very well looked after. Even got a blue light discount as he found out I work in The Christie hospital. Just come back from a week in Austria, my new gear was unbelievable just as he said it would be! One of the best in-store buying experiences I've ever had. Awesome staff members who are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and patient. I've learnt so much about snowboarding just from speaking to the guys inside. I originally came in to demo some snowboards with very little knowledge of the sport and after many conversations and trying a bunch on different boards, I've come away knowing so much more than I expected and my first snowboard & bindings. 100% happy with my purchase and it's thanks to Subvert, I will be back!

If you are looking at purchasing boarding equipment, look no further than Subvert, they are independent and actually care about their customers! I have recently starting Snowboarding and I have been to look at other shops which were not bothered about helping but I have to say the level of service from Subvert, especially Vicky was absolutely brilliant, Vicky was able to recommend boots, bindings and board and she actually seemed to care about looking after the customer, there was no pressure and she allowed me to try several items without becoming frustrated, in all it took me a couple of hours to decide on which items to buy. I also met some of the other employees, I think one was named Lewis, they were both brilliant and I would like to say thank you to Vicky, Lewis and the whole team for helping with the purchases. Keep up the excellent service!

Staff are ignorant of customers and talk very loudly about inappropriate topics while congregating at the till - a shame because the store is full of great equipment.
