Great organisation

Ok, firstly full disclosure, I am a volunteer for the charity, so slightly biased.However, these guys do amazing work!It currently costs over £9000 a day to run the service.They receive no funding for government or the lottery.They normally fly with one doctor and a paramedic and essentially bring the ER to the patient.The work they do saves lives on a daily basis, and every penny counts to keep the service running. So if you ever get the opportunity, please donate anything you can afford. It is greatly appreciated.If you can spare any time, and fancy being a volunteer, I can highly recommend it! It's great fun! The amazing crew and attendees saved my life after a very serious near fatal car accident 16 months ago. Their incredible efforts during those first few hours of getting me out of the car and to the hospital meant I kept my badly broken right arm, my brain bleed wasn't serious and I'm here to type this and tell my tale, one day I hope to shake there hands with my mended arm.

We are SO thankful for the service, care, beautiful piloting and reassurance of the amazing guys that took us from the Isle of Wight all the way to Addenbrooks. If it were not for the air ambulance, we would be in much more desperate circumstances than we are now. Thank you!!!!!

The HIOWAA do a great job day and night. Taking people to hospital and a valuable asset to our health service.
