Tim Maguire Humanist Celebrant
We entrusted Tim with my Mum's funeral tribute and he was excellent in every respect - from the initial family gathering where he took notes of our memories and stories of Mum, right through to the actual day of funeral service. Everyone, without exception commented on how much they enjoyed Tim's warm and compassionate delivery of the service and in particular the interesting way he portrayed her life story so personally. He really made it a very uplifting service, which brought back so many wonderful memories to everyone. Tim has high standards and is a total professional. We were very impressed with how seamlessly he dealt with a quality issue regards the venue acoustics and a few minor interruptions.

I highly recommend Tim Maguire what a lovey man! From the moment we met him with the family to plan our son funeral he made such a difficult time very easy as his personality & characteristics way was just so down to earth. He also shared his own experience what he had gone through similar to our loss. From emails going back a good few times Tim was so accommodating with me changing my sons tribute a few times. Tim delivered a beautiful service and included family members by making eye contact when he was naming them, Which was so important to family & friends. Would definitely recommend Tim he is a very good Humanists & Celebrant.Love the Shore Family xx

Tim Maguire Humanist Celebrant
Tim Maguire has carried out a few weddings and funeral services for our family, most recently our dear mums funeral. Tim was the only person my mum wanted for her send off and rightly so.My mums service was special and unique and all about our beautiful mums life. It was an uplifting service filled with tears and laughter. Tim puts his heart and soul into what he does, he is warm, friendly and funny but also really cares.It was a perfect send off for our mum, she would have loved it and I know she would have been very proud.Tim feels like part of the family and has made a very difficult emotional time easier to bear. Thank you so much Tim. Lets hope its a wedding the next time.

My family and I would highly recommend Tim's services. He did an excellent job at conducting our mum’s funeral service. He managed to capture her personality and essence very well. We all left the ceremony having gained some closure and feeling happy with the way we had sent her off. Having Tim conduct the funeral made this difficult event much more bearable, we are all very grateful for his professionalism and commitment to portraying mum for exactly who she was. I could not recommend his services enough.

Recently myself and my sister chose Tim as our celebrant to deliver a humanist service for our precious mother’s funeral service. Choosing Tim was obvious to us as he did such a special service for my wedding in 2016. There was already a connection there and that is important in times of need.Tim is gifted at what he does, from the initialphone call, to our meet up, to the commutation in the led up to the service, the service itself and everything in between. At every stage of this process Tim was a consistent calm figure, we took a lot of comfort from his reassurances, we had full trust in him and he was instrumental in delivering a very authentic, moving tribute to our mother. On a personal note Tim’s advice was inspirational in giving myself the confidence to share my own tribute to my mother, something on reflection I am very proud to have been able to do. Tim placed a emphasis on love throughout the preparations and tribute itself which in a time of such sadness offered a more positive outlook.Planning a funeral service is not something most people would chose to do however if you did need too, I would highly recommend Tim.Thankyou Tim for all you have done for our family.

We used Tim for our wedding the other week. Tim is incredibly friendly, flexible and professional. He gave us great feedback and resources when conducting our ceremony/vows. His delivery was fantastic and immediately made us feel relaxed during our consultations as well as on the day itself!He is quick with a reply when sending emails/teams meeting so you never feel like you're waiting around for a response. He also sent us 'wedding checklists' with lots of help regarding which forms/documentation are required when submitting the certificates/schedules. He really has it all covered!!! Tim presented the recent funeral service for my Mum, Sheila, beautifully. We really felt that he knew her when he talked about her life. Friends and family who watched on the livestream website have commented that the service was a lovely family service and that they felt a part of it. Tim encouraged the family to participate in the service and gave us the confidence to speak about her which meant a lot. It made the service a fitting goodbye to a precious Mum.

I attended the funeral of a very dear friend today in Edinburgh and I would strongly recommend Tim's services. He was able to speak eloquently and passionately about my friend, and capture the character and life story so well, which was greatly valued by both the family and friends that attended. Whilst all of us grieve our loss, this service enabled us to also smile and enjoy happier memories.

We lost our mum on 10th of February 2022. Not being a religious family we knew we wanted the funeral to be a celebration of her life and having attended my uncles funeral, I Tims was the first name that jumped in to my dads mind. My mum always talked about how lovely and personal my uncles funeral was so we knew Tim would be the perfect choice.On a professional level Tim exceeded our expectations. He met my family quickly and was able to ask the right questions to be able to write a beautiful tribute to our mum. He made us feel in control with just the right amount of guidance to tell everyone at the funeral about her life.On a personal level Tim was able to provide great support and helped us dig deep in to our memories and stories. This was a really tough thing to do and there were many tears shed during the process. As tough as it was it helped nudge and shake things in to place we had forgotten about.I cannot thank Tim enough for his support, kindness as professionalism. The service was so natural and he was able to take everyone who attended through my mums life in such an amazing way. I know everyone who was there left knowing her a little bit more and feeling a little bit better. It was the send off she would have wanted and deserved.
