Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Only came for lunch but was pleasantly surprised as the food exceeded my initial expectations.Atmosphere and location was very nice, staff were accommodating and overall it was an enjoyable experience.The pricing is a little pricey but the quality of the food makes up for it. Would recommend you try it out at least once.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Had a meal here with my wife and 2 daughters.Food was average pub grub but the service was poor. Food arrived with not cutlery, and when I asked the waiter he rolled his eyes and we never saw him again. So I had to go hunt out someone else who eventually brought them, but by that time the food was getting cold.Cannot recommend it, at least not at peak times, it doesn't appear they have the staff to cope.

Went for an evening meal the inn decoration is stunning. The food was very nice and great service.We finished our drinks by the log burner.The only downside was our table getting there draft from the first floor terrace. Could do with something to stop the draft.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Great place for a stopover. The room was fantastic with a great view of the lake. Brilliant garden and outdoor spaces for eating and or drinks. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The menu is limited and the food was just ok.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
The Crown Inn in bang smack in the centre of Pooley Bridge. A group of us went for dinner after walking on the fells. The menu choice was extensive. I'm gluten free but was happy with the options. I've never had such speedy service in my life. My fish and chips, with mushy peas obviously, were delicious. We all cleared our plates. The prices were reasonable and the staff were spot on. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Stayed 1 night for work, staff were wonderful, accommodating and the place was absolutely delightful to stay at.Breakfast was fantastic and overlooking the river, couldn't ask for more. Next time I'm in Pooley Bridge I'll definitely be choosing here for food.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Stayed for two nights. Excellent location / beautiful setting. Close to Ullswater and The Lakes in general. Great breakfast and pub grub dinners. Staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely bar and restaurant, with a great decking area out back overlooking the river. Room was clean, cosy and modern with a big comfortable bed and really nice bath/shower room.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Service was fantastic (lovely attentive staff)but the food was disappointing, to say the least. If it hadn't been a family celebration I would have complained. Not one dish out of the eight we ordered was what I would have expected. The half chicken was dry and tough. The fish and chips were swimming in grease and also overcooked.

Fantastic hotel, really cosy with lovely rooms. Very well equipped with hair dryers, iron and ironing board. Luxury toiletries fluffy towels, & a fab selection of hot beverages with teapot. Comfy night sleep and woke up to a lovely lovely breakfast all freshly locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection. The bar/restaurant is lovely, great menu and the staff are extremely friendly, it has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Crown Inn Pooley Bridge
Beautiful country pub in the little village of Pooley Bridge. Stopped here after a cold walk around the river and had a lovely Black Forest hot chocolate. Thanks to Emma for looking after us, we will be back.
