A fleeting trip to Cirencester required a pit stop for food and drink, we popped into this place as the menu seemed reasonable.We both had Nachos and a couple of Cokes. Waiting time was ok as the pub wasn’t particularly busy, I’d say about 10-15 mins.I’ve had better, more flavoursome Nachos but these aren’t bad.Bar staff polite and friendly, server not so much.We couldn’t quite put our finger on it but there’s a slightly odd feeling to the place, like it needs more atmosphere, some money spending on it, not necessarily making it flashy or anything as it’s a nice old pub but just lacking “something”.Toilets very dated but at the same time quite quirky. Good clean condition.

The best bar service I’ve had in a long time. A delightful young man served me. Pro-active helpful with beer selection, went out of his way to be polite and helpful. Didn’t try the food as short on time but had a lovely table near the log burner. Dog friendly too. Old school pub, nothing flashy but does the job well and well situated centrally. Friendly and helpful staff, due to staff shortage, it was a limited menu the night we visited, but we enjoyed the meal we had, and the beer was great as well

What a lovely pub. The entrance belies a charismatic interior and courtyard. The staff were all brilliant and made our visit memorable. The provisions put in place to mitigate Covid were very efficient. Our meals were delicious and very good value. Thoroughly recommended.

Fabulous roast today with friends and family. Beef, pork and turkey cooked and served beautifully. ❤️

Nice pub in the centre of town. Large dining area inside and pub garden. Dog friendly both inside and out but sat in the garden as a sunny day. Friendly staff and good service. Had soft drinks, burgers and onion rings - food really tasty, best onion rings I've had. Good price.

Was in Cirencester for a weekend and fancied Sunday lunch so we tried this pub over a busy lunchtime.My vegan burger was dry as a bone unlike the beef roast that was also ordered.I had three slices of cucumber and one slice of tomato as salad and a handful of chips for 14£.It's sad how some people think that if you don't eat meat you are not worthy of being served anything nice to eat but I am used to it by now so I cook for myself and my burgers are better looking and tasting than most places I eat at.The Staff at the bar said two words to me and were staring into space but the girls who served tables were nice.There are a lot of dogs, the cleanliness can be improved.Not the best pub I have been in but I am sure they have many happy customers..

Great pub, The staff were so helpful!The main entrance is not wheelchair accessible, the bar staff could see our frustration and came to the rescue by suggesting that we use the rear entrance.Once inside we weren't disappointed with the service and quality of the food. Thank you to all at the Crown!

Good to find an old pub that still has character. Some modernisation inside, but Charles 2nd would probably still recognise it after he fled from this building in 1651, following the battle of Worcester.Good selection of beer and food. Courtyard garden seating. Plenty of indeed seating. Friendly staff (one of whom said he had been coming here since he was three years old!).
