Amazing venue and food was delicious

Architecture: 9/10History: 9/10I recently attended a small awards ceremony and presentation for the University of Edinburgh that was hosted within these halls.My initial reaction to walking in, was plain awe. The design and immensity of everything is astounding. The original architecture is quite plain to see and the ceiling design is something that stands out the most.Another feature within the halls are the archives and the marble busts of previous headmasters and those of fame. Definitely a must see for those who are interested more in the history of the university.The hall is extremely spacious and can hold quite comfortably, a large gathering of people and I felt it were easy to move around.I would definitely recommend this as a hosting venue if someone were looking for somewhere a little finer to host.

The recent conference on animal welfare here was phenomenal. What a beautiful prestigious setting for events, the indoor decor is breath taking.

Beautiful place for the event or a reception.

Amazing room, part of the University, but available for receptions, conferences etc with catering by Edinburgh First. Can take up to maybe 400 folk for a reception, or can be set for a formal dinner for a smaller number.

Really beautiful space. One star away though as it really needs a spruce up.

What a hall, what a building! We visited on Doors Open day and it was so well worth our time. Absolutely outstanding.

A beautiful abandoned library used for ceremonial purposes.

Very fancy venue hall! Great for drinks receptions etc. The lady who handled our event was wonderful and very helpful.
