Worth the wait! This place doesn't take bookings for breakfast/lunch and is first come, first serve. We had to wait 20 mins for a table, but we were well accommodated with a stool at the bar and ordered very nice coffee in the mean time. The food and service were great, lovely atmosphere and nice decor! We will definitely be going back!

We went for the first time last night for our staff Cristmas dinner. The atmosphere was great, the whole staff were lovely and the food was excellent. I had the best piece of fish that I have ever tasted. We have already booked again!

First time at Morton's Bistro after wanting to come for a while but have been put off as you can't book a tableWorth the wait!Great food and very nice and attentive waiting staffWe opted for 3 X Morton's Grill and an Avocado with bacon. Really nicely presented and everything tasted nice £14 for the full English which seems crazy but the going rate these days. The smashed avocado is nice but quite heavily saltedOnly slight complaint is that the cappuccino isn't a cappuccino, it tastes nice but it's a latte. Presented as a cappuccino with chocolate on the top but lacked the mechanics of a cappuccinoThe restaurant is lovely and the toilets are very plush! We shall definitely be returning

Popped in here on a whim on the way to an event with a friend. Exterior & interior both looked pleasant, and it was the only place in the local area that was open and serving food at the time we arrived (afternoon). We were seated quickly upon arrival by a friendly waitress, and then ordered some drinks. The waitstaff looked very busy and rather rushed off of their feet so I always have plenty of patience for that as the food service industry is a tough place to work. We ordered some burgers which arrived after a little while, and started to eat. I have to say, based on the aesthetics of the business and the presentation of the food I had high hopes, but as soon as I bit into the burger I was disappointed. The bun was dry, the meat was dry and overcooked, and somehow the cheese was also dry?! It very much felt like they were trying to be artsy with the food without getting the basics right. It was very disappointing. The chips and coleslaw were okay but nothing to write home about. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, which is a shame when I walked in with such high hopes. The best part of the experience was the waitstaff who maintained their friendly composure even when they were clearly under a lot of pressure.

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We were greeted at the door by the friendly waiting staff and shown to a table. After a short time, we had our drinks orders taken and not long after our food order. My cappuccino was large, hot, and tasted delicious. We weren't waiting long before being served some delicious breakfast that looked and smelt amazing. I treated myself to a Mortons Grill breakfast. I wasn't disappointed. The sausages were perfectly cooked, and the smoked bacon was delicious. Just having a small piece of bacon accompanying little pieces of each of the foods really gave a punch of flavour. The potato rosti was crisp and hot, and I could have eaten 2 of them easily. My only criticism would be that one of the eggs had a little bit of uncooked egg white but not enough to make a fuss over. I just put it to one side. I find that flipping an egg for a few seconds or using a small torch ensures that the top of the egg is all cooked and the yolk remains runny. I didn't really care for the Picanta Beans. With such a well-made and flavour filled breakfast, it only requires good quality baked beans to finish it off of a popular brand. Keep the beans simple. Overall, it was a really enjoyable breakfast, and I would love to return to try other meals. My friends had poached eggs, hollandaise, and smoked salmon, and all dishes were complimented on by everyone. The waiting staff were attentive and popped over to check that we were happy with our food not long after serving. Thank you.

Lots to like here. A lovingly converted building with understated elegance. The brunch menu was really interesting and varied. I would say for me that everything was spot on apart from one relatively small point:I ordered smoked salmon as an extra for my main dish. It was not the best quality but I received a large portion - maybe a smaller amount of better quality would improve the dish.Best things:The truly amazing porridge with roasted pineapple - stunning.Great coffee and really excellent smoothies. Everything is also reasonably priced. Friendly staff.I look forward to trying the lunches.

Great place to get together with friends and family - dog friendly also not just a designated area for pets, plenty of room for them to run around in the closed off field outside with dog bowls planted about. Has an outside ice cream coffee dessert area if you want to sit in the pods which has heating!Sat inside where the log burner was on and made it cosy they had a variety of choices on the menu to cater for all and presentation for each meal was unique.Would definitely recommend and go again to try the other items on the menu, we had the Korean Spicy Chicken Burger, sirloin steak, fish finger sandwich and variety of drinks.Waiting staff continually checking if you want anything else and very friendly.

The interiors and exterior was quirky, inviting and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately that was the only positive, the staff were not attentive, didn’t pay attention when we ordered so received the incorrect drinks, and all staff seemed to be quite miserable, not a smile in sight. The food wasn’t as per the menu, amazing grilled halloumi was unfortunately disappointing fried tasteless halloumi, the spicy chicken burger was not even the slightest spicy and the beef was over cooked and didn’t taste like meat. Overpriced for low quality food & a low quality service. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t think a tip was feasible other than on this occasion.
