Hertz Car Hire - Bristol Airport

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!Sconsigliatissima!Since it was dark in the evening I was told by this blonde lady that we could not check the car and then since I was very tired I did accordingly as I was told, that is to report scratches by the next morning at 10: I reported the scratches/paint spots by 10:00 and then on the same day I got a report for minor damages I did not do!! Also because me and my colleague have been very careful in order not to get any kind of damage while driving. Now they charged me for more than EUR 200 for doing nothing and I am so disappointed in the service I received. I wish I had read all the negative reviews here in order to avoid this company!I will try to get my money back but this is very unprofessional and I hope something can be done asap to solve this issue. Avoid at all costs!!!

Unfortunately lost my rent as both my cards are declined and they don’t accept cash for deposit or other forms of payment.

Stay AWAY!!!!!If I could give none, I would.I was supposed to drop the car off on a Saturday morning only to find out when there that the office is closed for the weekend and I actually had to leave the car without acknowledgement of receiving, there in their car park.You can ring as much as you want, I don't think that they actually have people working in the customer support departments. You'll never get your answer, and never mind forgetting something in the car hoping you'll see it again.Stay away !!!!!

Thieves and unsafe cars rented.Jamie Ewing’s Hertz manager is a complete fraudster overcharging you, his staff don’t tell you that the car will be dropped somewhere else. Even though Jamie confirms from their CCTV the car was dropped off on time they charged me two extra days because his staff didn't tell me to drop the car off somewhere else.Some of my property I mistakenly left in the car was kept by the staff.Car was dirty on the outside in places and the front window was so filthy I was unable to drive the car and had to stop and clean the inside of the front window myself this is a very dangerous rental company with zero customer service, it took me 60 mins to pick up my car from them.I rent cars weekly at Bristol I would recommend using Europcar and Green Motion.Jamie laughed at me and told me to take it up with Hertz customer service who just send you automated responses and your concerns or complaints are not even read.

Does anyone answer the phone? I ve been ringing to ask about a car I have rented for the month of August. As I have a Spanish driving licence I need to know if I have to take out an international licence and there is absolutely no way for me to contact with the agency at Bristol Airport. On my rental voucher in English it says that the offices are at the airport but on my Spanish voucher it says that I have to take a cortesy bus. And here I am waiting for someone to answer the phone!!!

Useless. My relative had a rental. Nice car. Needed to extend it due to a serious illness but unable to get hold of anyone despite it being opening hours. Numerous numbers called.

CHILD'S LIFE AT RISK. I rented a car for myself and my two year old daughter. I added a car seat to my reservation, and then called to confirm with Hertz. They said not to worry, that Bristol has a car seat for every car". When I arrive they had no car seat. After some time

Hertz Bristol Airport are trying to charge me for a new tyre for the sidewall damage shown in my picture. This picture was taken before I took the car on my pre check. There's similar damage to the sidewall on another tyre so they were happy to rent me the car with 2 dangerous tyres. I wonder did they ever fix that tyre that they've charged my credit card for?

Never ever again!! Hired a car at Hertz Bristol Airport for 5 hours. Did the usual pre-drive inspection which was limited given how closely the cars were parked.On return, the inspector was clearly over zealous and apparently determined to find something wrong. He hummed and hawed about barely visible scratches before settling on a minor chip on an alloy wheel. It wouldn’t have been the easiest thing to spot in the rain on hiring but I know I didn’t cause it.I drove the car for 2 hours total. I’ve hired cars for decades and have never had an incident. I don’t like saying that it’s a scam but it’s hard to avoid that conclusion.My advice is to avoid Hertz completely. And inspect the alloy wheels thoroughly. They must be very brittle!
