Excellent service from PGM & Son Pest Control Limited. We had an ant infestation in our office and Phil was able to attend at short notice. The ant’s nest was located and treated and I'm pleased to confirm that we're now ant free.We were given a full report of what treatment had been done plus recommendations on prevention of not just ants, but also another area around the building which could attract mice or rats.PGM & Son were helpful and friendly, and very well priced for the work that was done. I would definitely recommend them for anyone with a pest issue.

PGM are an excellent firm - they respond quickly, they give very good advice and provide a really good service. We have used them on several occasions. Each time the alternative options were discussed so we could choose what suited our premises best, each time the treatment was done efficiently and effectively.

I wasn’t in when PGM came to do the visit and unfortunately my partner didn’t know what price to expect. We had spotted one mouse in the kitchen. We had earlier used a different company for an extensive rat problem who charged £90 for two visits. Clearly PGM saw the size of our property and decided to inflate his prices, charging £288 for a couple of hours work. He then threatened to come and collect all of the bait really quickly before it had time to work when I complained of inflated prices. We have a one year old and bait was left on a wire into a hole in our floorboard. This seems quite unsafe. I looked up the cost of bait which was a maximum of £40 so PGM were charging around £80 an hour for labour. I am sure the work is satisfactory, but I think prices should be agreed beforehand and not inflated after the work is completed.After writing this review I discovered that they had left open bait boxes next to food in our pantry, next to my baby’s pram in the cellar and on the floor. We use the cellar as our entry and exit point to the house as we access our car through it. We also have a little den for one of the children down there. Their attitude was just tell your children not to eat it, but when you have young children in a house one doesn’t take that risk. Some of the bait had spilled on the floor. This is very unsafe as we have a one year old who will eat anything. The mum on the phone kept asking if I have a qualification in pest control, so how did I know this is unsafe? She was unpleasant and threatening in her manner.When PGM visited our property to remove the bait he stood on the doorstep at the end and told my partner to leave me. He said that he was tracking me on Facebook. He got very nasty. He also blocked my partner’s car in parking his van across the drive, so that my partner’s daughter missed some of her swimming lesson. We asked him to move it as this is illegal, but he refused. He also said that he had been covertly recording us in our own home and on the phone. We are considering a police report. In the house he said he would retaliate and get nasty. A five year old girl was listening to all of this and was visibly scared. We have a Ring camera (which I informed him about via text message) so have footage of his tirade on our doorstep and his refusal to move his van.Today we have found spilt bait on the cellar floor. The spilt bait was found in four different rooms on our ground footloose including underneath where we park our baby’s pram and where she stood today before I lifted her into it.Like many women I have a maiden name and a married name. These are the aliases he is talking about. Check my other reviews- they are generally very positive.

We cannot fault PGM & son, from the first phone call they were friendly, helpful and explained what we needed to do and what they would do in a clear and helpful manner.We had a flea problem in a house we had just moved into and I was very distressed. Before I called them I called a larger nationwide company who were very patronising and unhelpful (and a lot more expensive). Furthermore, PGM actually came out on a Sunday which was very kind and we were very grateful.We thoroughly recommend them, and would not hesitate to use them again (but hopefully won’t need to!!!).

Without doubt one of the most professional firms I have worked with. 100% reliable. Competitively priced and most certainly know their stuff. Couldn't recommend this husband and wife team enough!

I cannot rate this service highly enough. They dealt with squirrels in the roof promptly and were very knowledgeable and reassuring. Highly recommend

Fantastic service - I had a problem with bees in my house. Phil was very quick to respond and came round the next morning. Lots of really helpful advice. Highly recommend.

Very quick response, received a call back on a Sunday evening after submitting a request via the website. Phil called back within 15 minutes and said they would be in touch the following morning to organise a visit.Call was received as promised and Joe came to assess the rodent situation on the Monday morning. Bait was placed, ingress points assessed and trap placed.Treatment was effective within 2 days, scurrying sounds slowed down. Within 4 days no more rodent noise and no them. Two more visits undertaken to ensure 100% the treatment had worked.Joe was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, polite, personable and a pleasure to deal with - a credit to the business.My only regret, not calling earlier as we could have resolved the problem sooner, but that’s hindsight!Overall very satisfied with the service, would not hesitate to recommend or use again.

We had a flea infestation in one of our rental properties and PGM were able to attend in the same week. They kept us informed, provided written advice on cleaning and explained how the pesticide works. 5 stars all around!
