Michelle the Doula - Placenta encapsulation - Hypnobirthing

I completed Michelle’s hypnobirthing course in September / October 21 in anticipation for our first baby due in November 21. The course was presented over zoom and Michelle made the course fun, informative and created a safe and relaxing learning environment for us. Using the tools she taught us in the class helped me to have an amazing birth experience and understand exactly what was happening to my body. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Michelle’s hypnobirthing course - she’s a delightful friendly human who made everything very easy to digest and fun! Thank you Michelle! X

Having Michelle as our doula just made everything about my birth experience so much easier. She had such a calming effect on me and my husband and daughter loved her too. From supporting me through some tricky antenatal appointments to becoming my improptu birth photographer, it wouldn't have been the same without Michelle there. She was always at the other end of a text if I needed her and still is because she's become a good friend. Everyone's reason for wanting a doula is very personal but I promise you that you'll never regret it ❤

I could spend forever raving about how great Michelle is, but to cut it short she ensured that I got my dream home birth. She reassured and comforted me after every midwife appt and was just so amazing during labour and birth. I felt like she could read my mind, she would have a drink ready for me just as I would think of it, she cooled me down when I got to hot. She was amazing with my 3.5yr old, entertaining her when I needed her out of the room. At times I felt as if she was an extension of me. For anyone thinking of hiring a doula, I highly recommend it and you definitely need to meet Michelle, you won't meet anyone like her.

We were so blessed to find Michelle and for her to be part of our daughter's birth. She is professional and organised but also extremely personable and made me really feel at ease on her first visit.During labour both and I and my husband appreciated her support physically and emotionally. She helped me to make informed decisions during the hospital birth and was a wonderful advocate when I felt unable to speak up for myself.The follow up visit after the birth helped me to process what happened and to let go of any negatives and hold onto all of the positive parts of my labour.I know for sure that the birth of my beautiful little girl would have been very different if Michelle were not there with us. So I was on my 5th pregnancy, my births to date had been rather unpleasant experiences so I decided I would look into getting a doula. I wanted a positive birth experience, I wanted to feel like I had a voice in the room.I chanced across Michelle’s website and dropped her a message. We had a chat on the phone and I instantly knew she was my kind of person. Straight talking, empowering, knowledgeable, kind and all round amazing.The first time I met Michelle I felt so at ease with her. She has such an easy going friendly energy. I had only just met her but felt like I had know her for years. She was so open and honest.My birth was at home in the middle of a pandemic. I had received a lot of pressure from medical professionals, some to the point of bullying. Michelle was incredible at my birth, she was my strength and my voice and I don’t know if I could have got through it without her.Me and my little boy were admitted to hospital straight after my birth. Michelle was by my side the whole time so my husband could be with our little boy. It was like having a family member there. After, she text me every single day to see how I was getting on. She went totally above and beyond, far more than I would have ever expected. 5 months later we are still in touch. She’s and incredibly lady with a gift, if you are unsure as to whether to hire her, DO IT! It will be the best decision you ever make about your birth.Beth & Paul xxx

Michelle was warm, compassionate and intuitive. Her patience with initially introducing herself to my rather overwhelmed 8 month old baby boy ready to help look after him for the day of my wedding showed how gentle and kind her approach is, and how in tune with Thomas' personality she immediately became.
