We have just brought a Hyundai from Paul at Barton cars. Really pleased with the car, drives beautiful. His service and customer care has been second to none. We had a few electrical faults with the car that we reported back to him. Without hesitation he asked us to bring it back in for him to assess. He then gave us a courtesy car to use until he could order the parts and sort out all issues. During the wait for the parts a family member passed away, and we needed to drive to Oxfordshire for the funeral. I phoned to see if the car was ready yet. He explained that he was still waiting for them to arrive. He then offered to pay for us to hire a more appropriate car for us to attend the funeral and drive family members to the ceremony. How kind!We declined the offer but noted this kind gesture. When the car was returned to us it was all ship shape and for the added bonus it had been fully valeted as a goodwill gesture. When I phoned to say thank you for looking after us and being a man of his word, he then again offered to pay for the hire car for the day of the funeral.Top man top service!!!I will soon be looking for a run around for my son when he passes his test. I will be returning for this first class service.Thank you so much

If I could give no stars I would.I couldn't feel more scammed if I tried. in October we bought a Nissan quashqai with no advisories and the full AA check.upon collection we returned the car to have the hand brake fixed.we had the car back and the hand brake was still not fixed so we returned it to be fixed again.. which still hasn't solved this issue.fast forward 2 months we wake up to find the axel has snapped on the one rear side wheel... the garage quoted us £1500 to be repaired. thankfully Paul and Steve agreed to pretend to fix it"out of good will.. assuring me they where replacing both rear axels and surrounding parts. we waited 7 weeks for the car to be returned..which we had to go and collect in the end..only to find out 2 weeks later when the car is due an mot it has major failures. welding can't be done as the rear of the car is so rotten. ball joints

Great company to deal with. Purchased a 2012 Nissan Qashqai+2 from them and found them very professional. Three months on there have been a couple of niggles with the car (no dealer can 100% say there won't be some down the road after all) but Paul and Steve have been very accommodating in either arranging for the car to be fixed, or picking up and fixing the car themselves and getting it fixed under warranty.

I'm most disappointed with of the 2010 Fiat 500L which I took delivery of just before Christmas 2022. It was delivered without being fully valeted, it had a broken gearbox mounting, and the inside of the car stank of oil. The car was taken back and the faults were rectified, but I was without the car for nearly 2 week. I've since had the air-con regased, a new oil pressure switch, a new catalytic covconverter and now its developed an engine rattle. Sadly I am unable to recommend this company, which I held in high regard until I bought this car.

The best service I've encountered at a dealership to date! We had spotted a range rover listed on Barton's Autotrader that we liked the look of so was very interested to view. Working very odd hours I was only available at a later time that same day, Without fail Steve replied to my message and headed straight down to meet us, opening outside of hours was a cracking gesture for a first time customer, and left a lasting impression. I have no doubts in my mind that throughout ownership the vehicle nor dealership will give us any issues - Jack

I have nothing but nice things to say about Barton Car Company. After an initial 4 days to collect my new Ford Ztech, i was called up to be told it would be ready only a day after I enquired about it! With a full service, MOT and 3/4 of a tank of diesel put in the car ready for me to drive home. They did absolutely everything for me, I could not of asked for anymore. And lovely lovely lovely men. Highly recommend.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!I would never advise anyone to go to this dealer. EVER!My partner and I purchased a car from them, and we've had nothing but problems. Since purchasing the car, we've had the odd issue, so we got this repaired whilst in the warranty. But, with them having the car dropped off by us (taking time off work) and or collected by the recovery people, and wrong parts ordered, we have been nothing but disappointed. We had to wait nearly 6 months... for one part, which when chased for the 5th time by us about the part, they managed to receive it in 24 hours from a supplier.Really unprofessional, unmotivated, and poor customer service. I think the AA should investigate as I'm sure they would not want their name against Barton Cat Company.My partner was in tears when she came off the phone due to their attitude, only when my partner was trying to resolve the issue.Finally, when the car has been corrected, they didn't have to curtesy to to be presented when we collect the car. 'They finished early' according to the delivery driver. They couldn't even show their face.Says it all really.

Excellent first time at Barton Car company!I saw a car on Auto trader with barton car company and immediately arranged a viewing. Saw the car and was immaculate with a good price, they had a brand new MOT on it and repaired all advisories for me which gave me great peace of mind about the car. I was allowed to test drive it on my own which made me get a real feel for what the car was like and could test what all the features of the car. They also included 6 months warranty with the car and a years free AA cover which really swayed me to buy it.A week later i am the new owner and love it. After service has been great and a minor A/C problem i picked up was sorted within 48 hours of reporting it. The staff are great and will definitely be back in future for another car and 100% recommend Barton Car Company :)

I bought a car from Barton Car Company in December 2021. Initial contact and customer service was good. Unfortunately there was an issue 2 days after I got the car which meant I could not drive home from a family members house on Xmas eve. My car was sat on a family members drive way for too long in to the new year as contact from Barton was not great (and only actioned when I chased them). Barton did do the work to put the car right with no questions asked during the warranty period but I did not get updates about the work unless I called them first. When the car was returned to me the steering was off (at 10 oclock to drive straight) which I paid to get fixed elsewhere as the lack of contact from Barton was not worth it to me. Through 2022 the car was fine except when I took the car to fix a slow puncture at the rear, I was informed by Exmouth Tyres & Exhausts that all 4 tyres were considerably too small and the wrong size. I had to spend £400 on new tyres which was incredibly frustrating as I consider Barton should have known this. The car went through the MOT in December 2022 save for minor ordinary works. Today (Jan 23 2023) i have had to call RAC as the car would not start. I was informed by the RAC that the battery is considerably too small (50% too small!). The battery was 500 and I have had to pay to replace it with the correct size 750. I also consider Barton should have known this. I am now considering if there is anything else wrong with this car and how much more money I am going to have to spend on it.
