Couldn't say I'd ever want to go back. Ordered via the app. Quite a lot if the menu wasn't available. Went for light bites pulled pork tacos. Light bite was took to the extreme, what i received was 2 tacos with sauce in... there may have been pulled pork in it but it was in such a small quantity I missed it. The salad that accompanied the jacket potato was old and looked way past its best. We also ordered chicken strips, again hardly any chicken in them it was all very dry batter. Then I was informed there was no Guinness, so I opted for the alcohol free.. this was presented in a can and the difference in price wasn't refunded. Large dogs allowed to wonder around with no leads on (ours was kept on lead under the table) then blocked the walkway so you had to climb over it to leave. The only part of the experience that was as expected was the lemonade - well done nice glass of lemonade.

Shocking to see some pretty bad reviews as we never had any issues. First time being in Skipton for a special birthday. We called in for a few drinks on the first day and cocktails and I could smell an aroma of apple crumble. We had already had lunch elsewhere but I just couldn't resist and it was definitely worth it. We returned the day after to try the lunch after horrendous weather. The restaurant was packed and was 45 minute wait. I had the steak and ale pie it was delicious. My boyfriend is vegetarian and had the katsu curry first time in trying and said really enjoyed it. The meal came in less than 45 minutes and was worth every penny.

We ordered gammon and chips and a burger. The gammon and egg was okay but the peas were dry and the pineapple tasted dicey. My partner had the burger and he said it was the worst he had tasted.. it didn't look great. I wouldn't recommend.. the staff were nice so this would be a place to have a drink rather than eat..

This was a top pub to get deals from, having 2 pub classics available on an offer that can applied more than once an order! I used this to get food for the group on my birthday party; my fish and chips meal was delicious with a refreshing cider. The staff were friendly, service was up to standard and the seating is large with comfort!

Thoroughly enjoyed the ingenious and thoughtful 'Senior' menu, what great value for starter, mains and desserts for us Seniors! Full marks for their Belgian Brownie which was absolutely delicious. Superb and friendly service given by the Staff. We visited 2 days running and will certainly go again if in the area. Thoroughly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were told on arrival that the cask ale barrels were being changed as they’d all gone off at the same. We were told there’d be a ten minute wait, so we ordered food. The food arrived, still no beer. The food was cold. Sausages and gammon both dry like they’d been stood for hours. Rare steak was ‘well done’ and cold; hardly surprising as the pub and the plates were cold. Left after an hour and ten minutes. They were still ‘changing the barrels’ so we left not having a drink. Never again!!!

Nice pub. Xmas decs look good. Staff friendly. Not been for nearly 20 yrs. Sat at the same table we did back in 2002 with my mate Paul. Rip mate. We raised a glass for you

Terrible food. We both ordered the Blue burger which was supposed to be made with blue cheese. There was very very little if no blue cheese on either burgers. When the food arrived we were advised they had no onion rings left. Should we not have been advised of this when ordering? The pot of BBQ sauce was also missing from both plates but no mention of this. Both our meals were barely luke warm. We both tried our meals but after minutes decided to leave them. The waitress was very nice and very apologetic and did issue a full refund (yet to appear in my bank account), won’t be returning unfortunately. Worse than Weatherspoons food for a higher price.

We have always been totally satisfied with the food here until today. We ordered beefpie & chips and 2 gammon and chips. We had to wait quite a while for the meals and when they came I told the waitress that the chips were cold ,she did offer to do something about it but as we had waited so long we declined. As we got to the gammon and peas they were also cold. The pie was fine. When she came to clear the table I mentioned that it was all cold and explained we hadn't time to wait for a fresh meal. She said that she would have got fresh chips but I explained it was all cold, she said she would mention it to someone. That was the last we saw of her so we just left.
