I’ve no concern about the quality of dry cleaning services here, which I have used on a number of occasions. But I would caution anyone who may not appear fully Anglo-Saxon against risking humiliation in here.I did not have my dry cleaning ticket but wondered if I had accidentally forgotten to pick up a dress I had dropped off around Easter, so the lady asked for my name. My Christian name is not hard to pronounce, but has four syllables - the same number of syllables as, for example, Elizabeth or Isabella. Yet she screwed up her face and rolled her eyes. I asked why she was pulling a face at my name, and she commented on ‘how long it is’. I was shocked that she then subsequently and specifically told me that my surname is also ‘long’; my surname is only two syllables. So I asked her what her surname is, and it also contains only two syllables. But - crucially - her name is of British origin. Clearly there is no logic to her claim that both of my names are ‘too long’.Her discomfort with my name was so obviously because it sounded ‘foreign’ to her, not that it was ‘long’.The whole experience was bizarre and unpleasant. Such a shock in 2023 to find that some people are still so openly xenophobic and aren’t embarrassed to show it to a customer’s face!

Sharon and her team provided outstanding customer service. The garments (bespoke Santa Claus costume and cloak) were spotless, and very neatly pressed. The maker of the cloak said it was alright to dry clean, but bled slightly (no fault on Sharon's part) during the first clean . The items were dry cleaned for a second time with perfect results. Sharon's communication was exemplary and nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend Pulborough Dry Cleaners and Laundry. This was my first visit and certainly not the last. I'm a fan of this business, the lady that runs it is a true gem. My suits are always returned with the pleats, creases & detail as good as new, the work is done quickly and a reasonable price. The negative reviews here are unfair, small business owners are not responsible for your insecurities about not being a village local or challenging them on opening times during a pandemic. I use the cleaning service regulary and when I've eaten too many pies sometimes adjustments have been requested, all perfectly handled. I have been going here for years, will continue to return as long as they'll accept my kebab threatend garments. Top job ladies you're great!

I needed my laundry done, the lady asked when do I need it back and I asked that day if possible. It was ready for me that day, the service was great and my clothes came out good. I would defiantly recommend
