Played Wick Golf course this morning. What a gem. An excellent example of links golf, 9 holes to the north, and turns around to play 9 back to the south, right on the dunes. Very pleased with the course conditions and a very friendly welcome from the members. Weather this morning was very kind.

To start with I was disappointed that there was no one in the clubhouse when I arrived.. the course was ok , in very good condition .. when you got sea views it was nice ..

What a fabulous links course less than a mile from seashore. Very windy and lots of slopes. In great condition with tough greens. You need to hit straight. Book up and go play.

Wonderful true sea side links golf course. An undiscovered gem! Played for a pittance.Course is 6100 yds from the tips, and has 107 club members. It is alll natural grass in fairways and greens. Watered by God, and never fertilized or over seeded. The day we played had 25 mph winds. 8 holes into the wind, and 10 down wind. Hit it high into the wind, and any slice had 40 yards added to the slew. Bring your ground game. The pro shop is rudimentary. Bring all the basics...balls, tees, gloves. Rental sets are available.

Nice enough course with greens in good condition, fairways were slightly longer and tee boxes were mixed condition. The course doesn't really have a seaview due to a large sand dune bank running beside it. In general it is a fairly straight and flat course that is very quiet. The clubhouse is only partially open for most of the day it seems, but does give access to basic facilities including a toilet.

Played Wick a couple of years ago in the rain and wind, great fun. Played on 23rd June, gentle breeze and a little sun, dry. Even more fun. Greens in excellant condition.

This how grass roots golf should be played and how better to enjoy an understated but beautifully kept traditional Scottish golf links course. Tight lies on salt washed fairways with fast true greens...but a challenging back 9 when the wind blows. If you are in this locale it is a must play and you will be assured of a friendly welcome..not to mention a stern test of your golfing mettle. I for one look forward to a future return visit.

9/10. Well worth a visit. Over 150 years old and very traditional old-style links course. 9 out and 9 back.
