Just returned from a weekend here. Beautiful site. Peaceful, immaculate and the wardens were so friendly and helpful. Short walk to all amenities and pub. Site is really well laid out and great for dog walks aswell. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Busy site, bigger than we thought. Pitches not as big as others we've visited. Clean and well kept, lovely fish and chip van once a week.Facilities cleaned regularly and of good standard. Dog area not secure and lots of inconsiderate dog owners not picking up after their dogs.

Nice site but not the same as it used to be, was always a busy site. Shame the football pitch has gone to a different location full of thorns and unusable as flooded in wet weather. Super pitches left only room for a few tents only 6 available when we visited. The wardens are always different and hardly strike up a conversation. Grass could do with trimming more regularly last year was always kept trim. Dangerous walking to village as path outside overgrown and fast road outside.

Myself and my partner, regularly visit this site. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating. Great facilities for tent campers; nice warn showers, pot washing room and a lovely little shop. The site is in an ideal location with lots of activities and places to see only a short distance away.Overall it's a brilliant campsite the staff are wonderful and helpful, its one of our favourite places to stay.

What a lovely site! Brilliant playground for the kids, football area for older ones. Tents, caravans -seasonal and tourers. Great facilities, very helpful and friendly wardens. Location 1/2 hour out of York but close to A64 so easy to get anywhere. We will be back!!

Very nice place, clean facilities, good size pitches. Nice park and football area for the kids. Chip van on a Saturday night was a real treat. Lost 1* because through the day park workers are constantly around the tents advising campers about rules and car placing etc, but at night they disappear so people are noisy until early hours. Got very little sleep because of people drinking until 1-2am.

Absolutely a fabulous site.We booked in route & was so pleased we chose this site.Jill the warden was very friendly & welcoming.The facilities were exceptionally clean all 3 days we were there.Small shop on site for essentials, part bags of ice instead of the huge bags, brilliant idea.The site is very well maintained, very pretty floral displays. Grass cut short & tidy. Level spacious pitches.Kids play area is best ive seen.
