Amazing walk from the roadside up through the woods. Rather muddy in places so good walking boots help. Found nine ladys stones. We used Google maps and followed on to Cork head, views are amazing.

9 ladies, one of my favourite stone circles, however no parking as such you need to find a lay-by close.Lots of other standing stones close by as well.

Such a peaceful place!Parked the car about 15 mins walk to the stone circle itself, easy path to follow but muddy on a wet day, so bring your wellies if you're heading out in the rain!!!Once at the stones, there is multiple paths you can take with stunning views all around. The stone circle is in a big open space of green, hard to miss it, as there is also an information board that explains its history. It brings a feeling of being very centered and a sense of calm. It's really beautiful and I would recommend to anyone who is in the area to go and explore.Saw many dog walkers, so dog friendly! My only downside is there isn't any bins as you're walking, only at where you can park your car so if you're planning on a picnic or your dog needs the loo, please take it with you and don't leave any litter!!

It was very beautiful and the walk to the circle was stunning. Very serene spot and clearly still an important active site for some, which is beautiful. Walk was relatively flat and more accessible for mild(ish) limited mobility.

Lovely woodland area that is well preserved. Walks available throughout the area that look out over a beautiful valley just outside the peak district national park. The stones themselves are rather small, but one can feel the historic energy. Natural beauty and splendour contribute towards a peaceful area for public to enjoy. Please do not take fire or bbq as there are many burn patches, probably due to the incessant need people have to cook richmond sausages or equally unpleasant meat items off cheap one time use only bbqs.Bring a picnic instead!?

Visited as part of my quest to visit all English heritage sites. Hard to find the entrance to this site as there are multiple entrances and the website doesn’t provide much guidance. For the nine ladies stones you should go to the entrance tp the north of the reserve. Other than the historic value, not much to see other than the nine stones

Definite magic!About 3/4 of a mile zig-zag walk uphill from the road. A lovely medium sized stone circle in a tranquil setting. You could feel the magic. Some crude altars and talismans. It was crawling with longhairs and pot smokers when we visited, also people camping nearby (despite signs prohibiting this). None of this was a problem; they were all pleasant and respectful and gave us space to enjoy the circle and take photos.

Wonderful site amongst many more up on Stanton Moor - well worth it for the walk through the woods past industrial archaeology, old quarries, and millstones. Magical with a winter frost.

Nine Ladies Stone Circle
Nice stone circle with a lot of history. This site is a must visit place if you are in the area and good news it is free to visit.Parking is also free and available on the main road (Birchover Road) it is around a short 10 minute walk from the road to the Stone circle. When I visited it was very busy and a few people were sitting in the middle of the stone circle so if you are going to photograph the circle or film a video think it would be best going maybe early to avoid the crowds of people.
