Shop and showroom open at the moment However the museum is closed due to the Carona virus.Toilets on site.Lovely Mouseman furniture very tactile though too expensive for me.Set in the chocolate box village of Kilburn which has a stream running through it.

I have just received my beautiful piece of furniture (a drinks Cabinet) it is amazing and the caring way in which these pieces are made I got the medium oak and it has the most incredible finish can't speak too highly of this firm. Thankyou

Visited today whilst out walking with friends. Not a bit as I expected. Didn't dwell in the 'visitors' centre - if you want a 'gift shop' then this is fine. Didn't pay to go into the museum either. Had a look at the work shop. Staff looked very unhappy. Shame really as I'd watched the archive film and this was so good I just expected something a lot better. Of course the furniture is very good quality. Pretty village.

Having visited the Robert Thompson Museum and gift shop in Kilburn last Saturday, I thoroughly recommend a visit to all those who appreciate craftsmanship at its finest.We were made extremely welcome by the highly informative and friendly member of staff in the gift shop, to whom nothing was too much trouble. My old school and local church have brilliant examples of 'mouseman' furniture and it was good to see where it originated. So glad the family have kept this business going through the generations !!!!

It's a lovely shop with real craftsmanship on offer.The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful.Their Covid mitigation policy is sound with sanitiser at the door and good social distancing.Also, if you want authentic Mouseman pieces, it is far less expensive than the chancers on eBay.
