We have bought a fireplace companion set, hanging basket brackets and bottle opener from Tom at Sussex Blacksmith and couldn't be happier with them all. Tom is clearly very skilled and all items have a great finish. The bottle opener is without a doubt the best I've ever used and does the job without any effort and a beautiful motion - a lovely gift at a great price.

I bought some candlesticks from Tom and collected them personally. I found him to be very friendly and professional. The quality of his work is outstanding and I could not find anything comparable online. Highly recommended.

I have purchased multiple items from Tom over the past year from curtain poles to hanging basket brackets to a fireside set (which he tailored to suit some specific needs we had). Service has always been fast, friendly and efficient. The products are beautifully and uniquely hand-made to a very high standard. I'm so pleased to have discovered Tom and to be able to purchase his traditionally made products (as opposed to the mass produced, off-the-shelf product that seems to be everywhere else). Highly recommend!

Review #1 from January 23, 2016:I bought one of Tom's hand forged bottle openers as a Christmas present for my stepdad, and had a very hard time not keeping it for myself once I received it in the mail. The craftsmanship is of excellent quality, and it feels great in the hand, just like you would think by looking at the pictures on his website. I will definitely be ordering more in the future, including one for myself!Review #2 from May 15, 2016:I purchased one of Tom's bottle openers before as a gift (see previous review), and was so impressed with his craftsmanship that I had to buy more to give as gifts, and even one to keep for myself! There was a shipping error that was outside of Tom's control, but he very graciously corrected the situation. Tom does professional grade work and provides excellent customer service. Buy his work - its the best stuff on the internet!

My husband purchased four brackets for a project that he is working on. These arrived the other day and they are of a very high standard. They are quite simple in design but the quality is excellent. They were delivered with screws and braces for fixing. Excellent service and high quality ironmongery.
