Butt of Lewis Lighthouse
Great place on the most northerly part of the Isle of Lewis. Very windy, so wrap up warm!I'm not sure if I would visit with young children and I would definitely keep your dog on a lead, as cliff edges are very dangerous with some cliff subsidence, and no fencing. It is still a great place to visit, whilst here we spotted Shags.

It's a long drive to get here, but completely worth it. There's something quite moving about this lighthouse - you can feel that you're right on the tip of a huge expanse of ocean and the rugged cliffs and surf certainly add to the feeling - the Call of the Void is strong here so watch your step!We didn't use any of the facilities as we were running a little late but this turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip - a beautiful building in a stunning location.

Really cool spot, windiest lighthouse in europe I believe so be prepared! Not an attraction so to speak so no facilities but definitely worth a visit. We seen a family with children having a photoshoot down on the rocks which I would not recommend, the wind was scary at times so be very cautious

Stunning views. Barriers near the edge might have been a good idea. We visited on an extremely windy day, but even on a calm day barriers or a viewing platform would have been appreciated.

Amazing place at the top of lewis, spectacular views and a great place to blow away the cobwebs. Fresh air!! Parking for about 10 cars, single track road with passing places. A small cove on the right before the lighthouse looked really nice too... Check it out.

Pretty spectacular cliffside setting. Bring binoculars to get a better view of the seabirds. It's worth the trip.

Butt of Lewis Lighthouse
Beautiful views of the cliffs and the sea. Loads of space to explore and spread out. The lighthouse is not a tourist attraction so there is no entry or guided tours but provides an interesting backdrop for the photos!

Absolutely stunning views. This is a well looked after lighthouse, though its a shame people haven't read and understood the no overnight parking and driven onto the surrounding land and left their rubbish.

Known for being the windiest place in Britain as I was told by a resident when visiting...it certainly was fresh. But the views at sunset were awesome, a highlight of Lewis and different to the endless peat moorland south of here.
