Kelvingrove itself is nice and the fountain was gorgeous... Kind of recently, it's absolutely filled with algae and quite disgusting. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed yet as it's an important symbol of kelvingrove. It's a war memorial fountain and honestly just disrespectful that it's not been fixed - especially around the time of remembrance day. Usually quite beautiful though.

Nice fountain in Kelvingrove Park . Nice place for a walk. It's dog friendly. They have restrooms nearby. Picnic area with bbq tables nearby. Also, it has a nice playground 2 minutes away.

Lovely old fountain in the middle of the park. Doesn't seem to be maintained too well at the moment and it's never on when I've passed by, which has been fairly often recently. Could do with a clean out and being switched on regularly. I'm sure it would look amazing if it was also lit up at night.

Located in Kelvingrove Park is this monument to the late Lord Provost of Glasgow, Robert Stewart and and the completion of the Glasgow Corporation Water Works supplying the city with fresh drinking water from Loch Katrine. The fountain contains imagery alluding to the lady of the lake at the centre piece of the fountain. Just below the lady of the lake are 4 lions and unicorns holding shields and circular motifs to represent the 12 signs of the zodiac. At the edges of the fountain are placed four cherub like children with playful expressions.Sadly, there's no water to the fountain.

Stewart Memorial Fountain was built in 1870 and designed by a 27 year old architect. The park is beautiful and peaceful. It's a great place for a walk even when it's raining.

Very disappointing as the stone plaque says the generous gift of Glasgow people of £15800.00 for the fountain to run, but at a time when many visitors are there it's Dirty stagnant water obviously the fountain worked for a long while. And is badly neglected!
