It was really a nice experience. We liked the atmosphere and the food over there. Albin was really nice and his suggestion was so good. The biryani was fabulous that made me remind of my days in India.Thank you coconut lagoon for this wonderful experience.

Absolutely delicious, I'd highly recommend!!! We are both vegetarians and struggled to decide what to order as everything looked amazing. What we had was delicious, especially the paneer dosa. The staff were very good as well. One of our best meals in Yorkshire.

My partner and I visited York last week , this was our first visit to coconut lagoon.From the outside it is somewhat uninspiring and not overly inviting and we only went due to our guest house recommendation.However on entering we found the restaurant to be very clean,warm & inviting.One negative was on ordering the poppadom and pickle tray , if you increase and buy more poppadoms your 3 small pickle bowls are not increased in volume so thing's get sparce and dry.That said all the rest positive , lovely food , we were guided by a friendly young man who guided us through the menu and helped us not to over order.The food was excellent , very well presented, very tasty and definitely return.

I've been planning to visit this place for a few months and i finally did this week! I would say I had a great experience and the food was just so amazing. Its been a while since I had Indian food and I would definitely recommend Coconut Lagoon for that Indian food cravings!

Crackingly good food, many dishes I'd not heard of before. The waiter couldn't do enough for us and the food came out with remarkable speed. Deep flavour without relying on heat.

Booked as looked OK, small place but excellent staff and food. The food is southern Indian food but was just soooooo good. Servers were excellent recommend meals and advising us not to order more than three rice and two breads which was plenty due to size of serving.Not happy as its a bit far to travel as we're two hours from this very special Indian restaurant, next time in York will be going there again.

Service tonight was 10/10, amazing. Fantastic food as always. Will be back again. We live nearby, and always bring friends here when they come to visit York. Highly recommend to everyone- we are all vegetarians and there were a ton of great options for us, but tons of great options for meat eaters too. thanks again!!
