We popped in for a cheeky lunch and were very pleasantly surprised by an adventurous and exciting vegetarian/ vegan menu. 3 coffees, 3 soups and toasties all for just over £20! Bargain!The service was great, very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Arrived in beautiful Tobermory...of Balamory fame..[What's the story?]...3 minutes from our holiday cottage we found An Tobar on a steep hill up from the main town. It appears to be a, sympathetically, converted very old school building combining a gallery, music venue and cafe. Very friendly and down to earth staff.... and dog friendly. All the food and cakes etc are home made, not a wide chouce though.Trying to find a word to sum it up.... Quirky!

If you fancy very good coffee, breathtaking view on Tobermory bay or tasty toastie with soup, this place is for you. Just a few minutes by walk from tourist area of the town center and you can get all of this.

Had lunch today which was quite underwhelming. Only 7 other people so can’t say they were rushed off their feet. We both had bland Asparagus & Courgette soup which was flavourless. We asked for some salt as there wasn’t any seasoning in the soup. Also had a Beetroot, Goats Cheese( I think ) and hummus toasted sandwich which had hardly any filling. It also was devoid of flavour, couldn’t even taste any hummus. Didn’t bother with drinks. To be fair to An Tobar we have eaten there quite a bit over the time we’ve lived here and usually have great food but unfortunately today was an expensive disappointment.Your comments would be most welcome.

Always a great place to visit when in Tobermory. A relaxing place to stop off for a cuppa and enjoy the art. The views over the bay are beautiful .

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time here during our stay in Tobermory. We were looking for a place to have food and work for a couple of hours and found this, a beautiful café with lovely staff and delicious food. The view from there is amazing and it’s the ideal place for relaxing and spend a nice time. Very recommended.

Had a really nice lunch here. The menu is simple and delicious. I had sweet potato soup....nice and warming on a February day. Then I had a sandwich with chickpeas and avocado, lovely homemade coleslaw and a salad and veg crisps.There was an exhibition round the walls. Nice place. Open all year unlike many other places on the island. Prices very reasonable and the portions are generous. Yep. Go for it!

Nice wee vegetarian cafe for lunch. Soup, toasties, sandwiches and cake. Dog friendly too and inexpensive.
