A lovely country walk from Tockholes.The bluebells in the fields were in full bloom, the walk although beautiful was for me having walking problems tough and tiring, but arriving at Hollinshead Hall and Well House was a reward in itself.

Great place to go, just a shame I couldn’t go in on my last visit as young people in there smoking and drinking. There are ruins as well. Path is pretty steep and quiet muddy. Not well chair friendly but perfect for dog walking around the area.

Easy parking and a nice mix of footpath and woodland walks. Very busy at the weekends though so go during the week or evening if you want a bit of quiet time.

Hollinshead Hall - Well House
Interesting place to visit with a spooky history. Cannot get inside as locked so make sure you go on a bright day otherwise it’s difficult to see inside it. We parked at Roddlesworth Information Centre (highly recommend their Ramblers cafe for excellent food at very reasonable prices.) and walked through the woods to it.
