KE Adventure

Went on a KE adventure trip this year to Everest Base Camp and had a great experience. Will undoubtedly look at what they offer for any future adventure holiday.

A great company who creates brilliant trekking holidays. I just completed the Gosainkund and Langtang trek. The staff at ke helped guide us through the pre trip process and made the whole experience seamless. The trek itself was put together very well to maximize good times and minimize any altitude sickness issues. Would highly recommend this company for anyone who wants to go trekking around the world with minimum stress.

We have just got back from a brilliant trek in the Indian Himalayas organised by KE. The area is extremely beautiful with fantastic views of snowy peaks, but very little frequented by western tourists. The whole trip was very well organised, with an excellent local leader and an unfailingly helpful crew. We would happily recommend KE to other travellers.

I found the Ultimate Everest Trek an amazing and thoroughly enjoyable experience; a few challenging walks, wonderful mountain scenery and friendly people. Although reasonably fit and having previously done a number of high altitude treks, I wondered whether at the age of 68 I would be taking on too much with this trip, but before I booked, KE office staff were extremely helpful and provided the information needed to help make a sensible decision. I needn't have worried, the trek itinerary allowed plenty of time for acclimatisation and our trek leaders ensured that our group walked at a pace that even my slightly worn out body could comfortably manage. I'm so glad I didn't let age stop me doing this and I'm now contemplating a return to do something a bit more challenging for my 70th birthday!

I've now been on two cycle trips with KE (Bhutan and Jordania) and one trip with another provider (Namibia). KE is best hands down. The guides are great, the set up and service as well.But my advice for you and for your tribute to the group and of course the overall feeling of the trip, is to come very well prepared to theese harder MTB trips. You will certainly enjoy it more and so also your travel friends.

Just returned from completing Gran Paradiso in Italy, I can honestly recommend this experience, from start to finish we had a brilliant time, even with a slight change to our agenda KE we're always concerned for their clients experience. Thanks to Kathy the KE agent in Chamonix. So from Hotel to hostel to completing the experience and some Via Ferrata thrown in (I think you should add this to the agenda for this trip)the food and the training and support from our AMAZING guide, Pavlos who could not have done more than what he did, so supportive, great training, so thorough and such a gent who was more than happy to socialise either us as well, made the trip more enjoyable, helping even the lesser experienced team members to complete the trip. Really shame as they seemed liked a great company but they had miss quoted us the price over e-mail. We then paid our deposit booked time off and flights they then informed us that the price had doubled due to an error when they quoted us the price. It has left us in a difficult situation as we have now booked travel and time off work. They were polite on the phone but all they could say was sorry and give us our deposit back rather than helping us find a new option or help us with any of the extra travel costs.

I used to travel with them a bit, and the experience was always okay. Not mind blowing, but okay. In Venezuela we were left alone and had to drink water from streams because the guide didn't care and no boiled water was provided. In Peru the extended Machu Pichu was a bust, we never did it because the rest of group got sick from eating at some restaurant. But it was still okay, and reasonably priced. However recently their profits are exorbitant. I would hesitate to travel with them outside Europe as you would not be paying local guides and supporting local business. The money would be going to the company. The same in Europe. I was shocked at the price quoted as it was at least 700 eur above what would be considered reasonable for the country chosen and profitable for the company.

Just back from two great trips with KE to Uzbekistan and Lebanon. I loved both and particularly enjoy seeing a country with a local guide who is knowledgeable and passionate about their home country. A good mixture of sight seeing and hiking. Great food and logistics worked well until our BA flight was cancelled but we had an extra day in Beirut in warm sunshine so even BA did us proud.Highly recommended but be aware that some of the accommodation is definitely not five star! The costs are highly competitive though so a bit of roughing it makes the smarter hotels all the more enjoyable. Not for the Hyacinth Buckets of this world you will be glad to know.
