Purchased a carpet with Tapi bexhill a couple of weeks ago and outstanding services! The staff were very welcoming and understanding and they gave great advice! Lots of choices of carpet and flooring for everyone, 100% recommend this store

A very poor experience of Customer Service from their Bexhill branch. Would not at all recommend this company. Specifically asked about guarantees and was told they guarantee fitting and carpet. During the fitting, the fitter moaned about parking at our house and through the fitting that the nails provided by Tapi were poor quality. The fitting could not be completed as Tapi had miscalculated the number of thresholds required. The fitter also caused damage to the wooden floor adjoining. The store then advised they don't actually guarantee the fitting, as it's subcontractors they use. This is not made clear at all and in fact was the polar opposite of what we were assured when buying. All appeared to be done as a 'gotcha' for this exact reason. On booking they price the fitting and talk about 'their fitters'. The reality is, they choose an external company to fit the carpet for you, they set the prices of the external company (probably taking a cut for themselves too?). When it goes wrong they then take no responsibility and refer you back to the external company which you never knew you were dealing with. Opaque and shady doesn't even cover it. The follow up experience was shocking, with Tapi carpets being incredibly slow and unhelpful locally. I received four calls, three of which were from the same member of staff, asking about my experience. She didn't even remember she'd called me the day before and no action was ever taken when I did provide feedback that there was outstanding damage and the job was still not finished. The store manager was unhelpful and was the epitome of 'not my problem'. My morning was wasted when the fitter never arrived for a follow up appointment to finish the job. The head office customer service lady I eventually spoke to (Bexhill manager was reluctant to provide any details on how to make a complaint) was friendly and professional but appeared to have very limited options to resolve the situation. Overall I would strongly advise staying away from this company. My experience was that they were deceptive to get your money and then highly uninterested in customer service when the fitting was done incorrectly and damage was caused. And when follow up visits were unattended. Eventually they provided a new subcontractor to finish the job and provide opinion on the original fitting. That said, damage was done which has not (and will not) be repaired by Tapi - so I'm left to pick up the tab for the damage their subcontractor caused. Strongly avoid this company. It all appears designed deliberately for the above reasons and came across as little more than a deceptive scam to deflect responsibility whilst creating the illusion of having their own in-house team for which they tell you the work is guaranteed. Beware, in my experience, there is NO GUARANTEE at all offered by Tapi no matter what they tell you in the sales stage.

Very helpful for a rough quote but you have to get someone round realy

very nice shop, well layed out lots of space aswell as choice. staff very aproachable aswell as helpful. have a range of carpets aswell as hard flooring and fitting available. would recommend to everyone

Very clean modern carpet and flooring shop with a huge amount in store. Situated in the Ravenside Retail park they have a big open plan showroom with every kind of carpet you can imagine.The team member who spoke to me was very friendly and helpful and mentioned they do to order carpet and fitting. I would consider this a good option if you need carpets!
